Even if I don't use the extended mode, I find that uploading the bricklist to bricklink is almost always much cheaper than lego design by me (which apparently stops in january anyway). Even if you have to order with multiple vendors, that cost if offset by the much cheaper bricks.

That's why I keep some trains to play together with my kids (like the 4560 railway express), and some stacked away just for daddy (like the €100 a piece santa fe carriages). I just couldn't bear watching those pristine windows being scratched!
On the other side: crashing a few trains together with your kids is actually priceless!
Another slight nuance on the translation from dutch: the dutch says "herenhuis", literally "gentlemanhouse", which is more of a fancy city house, mansion, stately home, than "just" a house... wonder what that will look like
As a suggestion to the above: the TTX intermodal is very good value for buying in pieces on bricklink compared to the ebays of this world. There aren't really special pieces in there, the (relatively) most expensive seem to be the yellow side panels. You just have to go without the stickers, or print your own.
