Wow. That commercial for the Visual Dictionary was great and has. somehow, convinced me to grab it when I can find the book in stores. Also, BrickForge's Savage Mask kind of reminds me of Harvey Birdman.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

If the sticker on the top of the case is as easy to tear off as the (red) Series 7 one was then I might have to grab a few of them. -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Series 8 has arrived at my TRU in New Jersey. A few cases came on the truck yesterday. They should be on the sales floor sometime today. Grabbed the bat, fairy, alien, robot, cowgirl, and diver for me this time. I'll probably get some other ones at a later time. -
I meant it makes the Rancor look ridiculous, that's I made a reference to those awful cat internet meme's.

I CAN HAZ GREEN PIG MAN That is a truly horrible picture of the rancor. Besides that actual picture, I really like the Rancor maybe because rancors have been one of my favorite creatures in all of Star Wars. I don't know. Let me just say that for the people that don't like the Rancor figure because of its comical design: It's Lego. It's not to be taken so seriously. While watching Return of the Jedi, one can see that the menacing malicious monstrous rancor is just a awkwardly moving, rubbery puppet and all of that shows in the figure. I feel that the use of a figure instead of something brick built is a better way to go for Lego. If brick built, the Rancor itself would have been the set with maybe a few pieces thrown together to be called the pit. Come on people, this would not have cost more than Jabba's Palace. I know this could start a whole new topic in of itself (and not really trying to start one here) but I feel this relates: Would the Cave Troll and the Hulk have been better if THEY were brick built?

So I bit the bullet and bought Jabba's Palace. I'm way too impatient at times when it comes to buying sets I really like and want.

It should also say on the back of the packages if the contents are glued. -
I checked the PSN last night and sure enough both the hero and villian packs were up for $1.99 each. Not a bad price in my opinion.

This past weekend I bought the Bespin planet set, Desert Skiff, and Palpatine's Arrest.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Maybe it has been brought before but I think the inclusion of the robot and cheerleader in this series indicates that these 2 were high up on the VIP voting thing that was done a while back. Personally, I like that we have a new robot and cheerleader, mainly because the robot from Series 1 is really the one that I don't have but really want and those pom poms are really nice accessories to have in my collection. I also like black bat. It's a nice variation of the Monster Fighters one. It will replace the one I have from the vampire castle that is now in my superheroes collection as decent looking Man-Bat. -
The problem that arises with saying that the Robin in the game is Tim Drake is that when you walk around in the Batcave for a little, you're Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. I do think it would have been better if Robin was Tim Drake just so then it would make sense why Nightwing is in the game (as a pre-order for X-Box 360 and PS3 and right of the box for the handheld games).

I feel the same way. The Monster in the "new" olive green has to be the best rendition of said figure, when compared to the studios and collectible series versions. The scientist is, in my own opinion, a really awful figure and that along with the fact that I already have the fighters, brings this set on the bottom of my to buy list.

Since the ad came in the flyer in the newspaper, I would assume it would be all TRUs but just to be safe do check TRU's website to see if the event is happening at a store near you.
-
I'm surprised no one has responded to this yet. Granted the models are a bit bland but its still a chance to get free Lego. Whats wrong with that? I'll be running the event at my TRU and will also have a few sets on display for people to see in person. Mainly Superheroes, Monster Fighters and LOTR. I know its a Batman and Superman build during the event but I don't think anyone will object to seeing how massive and amazing the vampire castle is once fully built.

A free playable demo is available for download on the 3DS eShop in case anyone is interested. I downloaded mine earlier today but sadly have not gotten a chance to play it yet.
