  1. I'd be happy for the military builders to have their own sub forum - so that way it will be easier for me to avoid them! That's not to say I don't respect the talent that the tank builders have, it's just that I too don't think it appropriate for lego. It also reminds me of Mego Bloks! A war sub-forum would be like an adult zone of sorts - a clearly sign posted area that users can opt into or out of. I'm sure they'd appreciated it too if it means they don't have to hear people like me whining.
  2. many congratulations my daughter is six months old now - those first few weeks are so intense that it feels like you'll never have any time to yourself to do anything again. thankfully after a couple of months it gets a lot easier and there's even time to do Lego!
  3. here you are http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=88646
  4. thanks for uploading those prototype images - I think they are brilliant and wouldn't have seen them otherwise

  5. I do rather like the minifigs - yellow helmets with trans-dark blue seems very effective.
  6. Yeah - me too; I've often thought that, even before SPIII
  7. Classic Space - without question. (maybe Town)
  8. The three main players Lugnet, Peeron and Brickshelf are pretty much on the way out having not grown and evolved at the same rate as the internet. That's why users have migrated across to forum sites like Eurobrick and Flickr. I'd love to see Peeron sped up, cleaned up and made modern - just as I would Lugnet and Brickshelf (I mean - it's absurd that you can't even email someone to ask about a posted image). I'm just starting out with basebrick although I use bricklink the most for cross referencing inventories. I use Brickstore too for printing set inventories.
  9. wow - what a long winded way of saying hi
  10. I'm interested in why you think the flex track is junk
  11. looks like a European street to me
  12. oh hey - I was looking at your photos of the lego store (thanks for posting) and I ended up seeing you picture of an extended looking monorail. Do you have anymore pics or info - I'd love to know more about it.

  13. great review many thanks
  14. you know if we could get the instructions we could probably put some of these together thanks to bricklnk or whatever.
  15. good job well done thinking about doing this myself
  16. I have my lego sorted by type into bags, fishing tackle boxes with compartments and also small plastic craft draws. My currently problem is that I bought a huge box full of unsorted Lego in bulk - I now need to go through it and put all the pieces into their relevant places. It is this that far more of a problem than where to put things; just how do you handle so many unsorted pieces quickly.
  17. it says average as is two and a half million! also lol at 2% female thanks for sharing the results
  18. about the building contest above be warned there is an age limit "Grand Prize winner and one (1) First Prize winner will be selected in each of the following age categories: 5-7; 8-10; 11-13." so I guess that means that anyone over 13 cannot enter. anyone who is, for example 32 years old is far too old to be building lego!
  19. The new Tron movie! It's made by Disney there it's totally possible that it could happen. Movie looks great BTW - look out for the trailer.
  20. I have searched but have not be able to find a thread about this movie (sorry to mods if there is one already - please merge this post with it if there is.) I've seen a few reviews of the movie on amazon but wondered what everyone here thought. Has anyone done made a list of which sets are shown? links also appreciated cheers
  21. I just like playing the games because it's endlessly fun watching minifig walk and move - I find the xbox lego games a little difficult so I'm hoping there will be a little more free roam with this game.
  22. really good review photos a great help too many thanks for posting
  23. I started out thinking that I'd keep all my town stuff but I've found I have quite a few classic space sets which I really love and remember playing with the most. From second hand sales I've found insectoid, rock raiders, ice planet, johnny thunder sets which I'll probably sell first. I wish I had a big house so I could keep it all and keep on buying!
  24. hi everyone I've been interested in Lego since 1982 when I got my first set - I was 5 years old at the time. I kept it all in storage when I got older and then when I was in my twenties I revisted it and started buying lots more at car boot sales. As an adult I got a lot of nostalgic enjoyment from it. It got put back into storage for ten years and now I've started organising it again. This time into set. It's my intention to sell these sets on bricklink but in all honesty I'm struggling to give some of those lovely old sets up.
