I purchased this at an estate sale and wondered if it is a rare set? From what I read it is from the 60's, but that doesn't necessarily make it valuable. I have been offered $100 for it and wondered if I should accept it or not. Any suggestions or help from you experts out there would be appreciated. Thank You.

I purchased this huge bunch of legos at a sale and was told they were real legos made before the word "lego" was put on the bricks. While they do have lego characteristics, they are a bit larger and the only marking is a single number on most of the pieces. I don't know if the little men things came with the set originally or if someone added them. Does anyone know who might have produced them and what they are. They are well made and quite interesting.
