  1. This is probably a little too late, but I would like to thank you for the information regarding buying the Vampyre Castle for $44. I had to order online because in store wouldn't match. They still sent me the Vampyre Hearse, but I went in store to complain and finally got the Castle.

    Thank you for your help.

  2. Woolworths makes millions of dollars profit a year ripping off hard-working Australians. I've got no qualms over getting one over them. Besides, when I was a manager for them I was working 70 hours a week quite often and only getting paid for 40 hours. Payback's a bitch!
  3. I just got the Vampyre Castle from Big W Blacktown for $44! How? Using the Big W iPhone app (with latest update) scan the Vampyre Hearse. It brings up the photo and details of the Vampyre Castle with the price of the Vampyre Hearse ($44). Obviously a data entry error on Big W's part. The store manager didn't want to give me the castle at $44. I argued that their own app clearly depicted photos and a description of the Vampyre Castle priced at $44 and that I would be taking the matter to the ACCC. He relented at the threat of the ACCC being involved and gave me the set for $44. Grab the sets at $44 while you can. As its Sunday they won't fix the error on the iPhone app till tomorrow. You're legally entitled to get the set for $44 if you demonstrate the price error at any Big W store.
  4. This is good news! I knew DJs were going to have a 25% off sale coming up. Now I can get my Grand Emporium out of layby, refund it, and purchase it again:)
  5. i can't believe i missed this! i knew that DJs would be having a one day sale. i mentioned this in a previous post about a month ago. i've monitored everything and can't believe this escaped my attention. last year DJs had 20% off all toys December 10-13. we can speculate and hope that a similar event will take place next month.
  6. I got mine from Castle Hill too. Looks like I'm the guy who got "the other one":P
  7. Regarding the Grand Emporium at DJs, what I've done every year since Cafe Corner to guarantee that I get the exclusive set(s) AND at the reduced price (which usually goes live mid-November) is layby it at full price, then when it gets reduced take out the layby, refund it, and re-purchase it again. The staff are always more than happy to refund it and let you buy it again at the cheaper price. You have to pay $10 layby fee, but in the long run you'll save at least $40 (depending on how far DJs will reduce the Grand Emporium this year. Also, keep a look out for a 25% off all Toys round about the end of November. DJs only does it for one weekend (last year it was one day only). You'll be able to get the Grand Emporium at the reduced price PLUS 25% off. I paid about $280 last year for the Grand Carousel (full price $399!)
