  1. Stunning set up! Look forward to all details you add to this. It's great so far. And I thought you chose the carpet you put it on because that is a relatively accurate color for plowed snow (in the sub-zero Midwestern town I grew up in.)
  2. Agreed about wishing for Lego to sell small building sets. I think there is a big market for it in the way there is for the small vehicle sets that are more common. Appreciated that technique as well. Tried something similar when helping a child build a "camera" today to hold in the "lens". Agreed on all counts. Thank you for this review and all the great photos!!!
  3. If the price were right, I'd like to see sets for a school, a post office, a supermarket, an ice cream shop.... (unfortunately my top picks sound a lot like Playmobil offerings, so perhaps that is why TLG is not selling those sets. Then again, there are plenty of other parallel offerings. Perhaps themes with more obvious "boy" appeal are what gets marketed.)
  4. I had imagined what this car would look like in different colors but you went and build them. I find them to be stunning! The tan looks sophisticated but I like several of them and the set as a whole. Keep adding to it!
  5. Thanks for this review! I was turned off by this new batch of offerings until I noticed several details in your great photos. The accessories are appealing and so are many of the facial expressions. I'm more inclined to buy these now that I've looked at what your wrote and photographed.
  6. Thanks for sharing that beautiful build! I liked the dark red arches inside as well as the shiny new brown floor. The width of the building looks much better than the width of the bakery. The only thing you are missing is the line of customers! I don't think our local postal branch has every been that empty.
  7. Thanks for moving it to the right place! I'm new here so I wasn't entirely certain myself. I'll post again in the coming days when we resolve it.
  8. Thanks for the idea! Haven't used that stuff in years, but it sounds like it would do the trick.
  9. We just put together an Exoforce set (8113) The minifigure Takeshi has cool green hair but it doesn't stay on well. It's a dual sided face so it doesn't make sense to glue it permanently covering one of the face choices. Any suggestions for getting it to stay on? Thanks!
  10. That's really impressive! We like the exterior, the windows and many of the details of the furniture and stock inside. Very inspiring! I grew up on Target "suburb" so this is a small taste of the past and very welcome
