  3. Hi all. I emerged from my dark ages in the late 90's when I picked up a few train sets I'd always wanted as a small boy, and used to frequent rec.toys.lego on usenet. Then I lapsed back into a kind of grey age, and fortunately soon had two boys of my own in the early 2000's that kickstarted my interest in a serious way. Since then I've been very hands on, collecting this and that, never really concentrating on one theme - just buying what I liked. And too much of it. 14 years on, and my eldest is entering his dark age so I'm becoming a bit more focused on what I want to collect, and now I'm about to start MOCing in a more serious manner. I need to get to grips with LDD or Bricksmith, but that'll come in time. I'm a hopeless hoarder and live with an AHOL which causes the odd issue at home... A shelf full of modulars, and a mind full of plans won't help either. Nor will the bricklinked 10179 stashed in the cupboard waiting to be built. I follow several forums, mainly lurking and occasional posting and if I can I go along to the Lego shows or events when possible, I do, such as STEAM this year. I live down in Kent, UK with easy access to Brand Stores of Brighton, Bluewater and London which doesn't help the cause, and I do a bit of trading, buying and selling to support my addiction. I have quite a bit of free time to use with my hobby, for one reason or another, and probably spend far too long reading about and collecting stuff than actually building. Best...
