hmm...aren't the Sandtroopers in the Escape Pod set just regular troopers (i mean...they don't have the dirt spots anymore)...even the C3PO looks the same! Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah...even if the two planets resemble...erm...planets...the Death Star looks like a big gray blob of nothing but with only two half sphere pieces, i wasn't expecting much more

Same here! not liking much the overprinting on the troopers (but i was never a fan of the prequels and CW stuff, so i'm biased ) but i do like the new Sandtroopers overall aspect and, so far, only the Droid Escape and the Tie-Fighter look like a must buy to me...

Exactly! i really like my 6212, but the overhaul on the Tie got me hoping that the new X-wing would be a big plus over the older model! But, for me, it still is a great set, but not worthy enough to replace my 6212 ...and i would love an A, B and Y-Wing, because i don't have none

Is it weird that the only set i'm looking forward to is the Droid Escape? (btw...overpriced ) having the previous version of the X-Wing, i was looking forward to the new one, as seeing the overhaul they made on the Tie got me curious...but it seems so "passable" better hope it's a sort of "too prelim to criticize" thing as for the other sets...erm...no... but i have to see some more pics of the Endor set, just to try and give it a last chance of redemption

I do agree with Aanchir! I only have one UCS set, the AT-ST, and even being not in minifig scale, it's simply awesome I would love to have a B-Wing UCS minifig scale, but if it's not minifig scale, i'll bet the level of detail will be really good, paring with some of the MOC's we have seen so far

I would buy an B-Wing anytime, regardeless of any possible minifigs (but a pilot would help ), as i don't have none... quick question: did the previous versions of the B-Wing had any kind of movable wings, or were they fixed? if they were movable, i don't see the problem of that happening on the new version...

Yeah i was talking about the DVD release of the SE...i really have the idea that somekind of a swoop bike appears on the desert scene...or maybe my mind is already blocking too much of the SE+PREQUELS+CLONE WARS stuff that is starting to see things that aren't really there I just hope that the escape pod isn't the same that comes with the Tantive IV set btw, as i was seeing some pics of the new Tie-Fighter, something got me curious: will the panels connect to the main sctructure by some technic pins or beams? if not, it does seems a bit fragile, as i can see those wings fall a lot...

oh but it is...in one of those "amazing" Lucas extended additions it "swoops" around on the escape pod scene... back on topic, 20€? i was expecting a more expensive set, as it has some minifigs (maybe they are not using no new molds whatsoever) the price seems fine to me, so i'll prob going to get one of those :D hmmm, someone said that the Retailers Catalog was already out, so...erm...work on those pics please people

i would love that! i only have 2 Rebel Commandos (got them on the Endor Bunker set, that i got only by 40€, due to a misprint of the actual price, btw :laugh: ) and i do love the color scheme and the helmet! hmm, i was wondering if the helmet size actually allowed a two faced head, but after watching some pics of them, the "back printed" face would be totally hidden beneath the helmet I'm still i bit undecided about the BP's with both factions, as, excluding the OT ones, none of those actually interest me, but on the previous BP's, you can really decide what you wanto to get, as i did when i got the Mando's BP and passed the clonies...

this is the worst part of the rumors thread...when it stalls after a booming start :grin: Just wondering, is this one (9675 Sebulba’s Podracer and Sebulba) one of the planet/mini/fig sets, or another rendition of the System set? We just got one of those amongst the last summer wave, and if it's a mini, i don't believe it will be the most beloved one, as the pod concept (imho) is not easy to translate to a mini format...

Must...urge...not to...UTTERLY AGREE with Brickdoctor...and...stay on target! well, being a CW and prequel hater i don't see the problem of doing a minifig based on an actual creature of the series...if the set is based on that sequence of episodes, why not? by the way, hasn't the EU already done a novel based on some zombie stormtroopers?? (infected by some kind of disease i think) Just to finish, a probable dumb question: should we expect some early preliminary photos from the 2012 summer wave? as far as i know, the new Amidala fig will be on one of the summer sets...have they ever done this before, showing a new minifig about a year earlier?

hmmm i forgot all about those seeing some photos of the X-Pods, it seems actually something that LEGO would do with this new SW "concept", throwing a planet, resembling one of those pods, and a similar number of pieces, enough for a recognizable mini, and a minifig...really hoping that i'm wrong, as the "OT collector" inside me is craving for something a little more...unique

I'll bet they are printed, so they can at least simulate the planet thet set is refering to! if it's confirmed that there are really only 2 pieces for the planets, i highly doubt there will be stickers involved...so expect two printed pieces for each of the planets!

oh yeah i forgot the Crawler and the Rogue Shadow, because i was wrongly assuming EU = graphic novels and etc... thanks for the answers for the minis that will come with the planet thingy, i'm supposing they will be something like what we are getting on the SW event calendar, and some of them are quite good for the pieces used

By the way, how many sets were based on the EU? I only have the Tie Defender, can´t actually remember another EU set (and it is a legitime question, no sarcasm involved ) I'm actually quite happy about most of these rumors, specially the OT ones...i've got a feeling that the new X-Wing wont be so much of an improvement over the last one, but the changes on the Tie-Fighter (that i own none) sparkled some hope deep inside my OT fanboy soul probably getting 1 X-wing, Tie-Fighter and 1 Y-Wing (better be good, LEGO ) and still waiting some info on those two OT UCS sets (A-Wing and B-Wing :cry_happy: ) Regarding the planet/micro/minifig concept, i'm actually quite curious they can be good display models, but that 2-piece planet doesnt seem to allow a great level of detail on it...

Wow just checked the updated OP (sorry, dont know if it was changed long ago) and i saw the price for the 7962 Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracers!! 100 euros?? dang! wasn't supposed to be like 75 or so? Sorry if i'm reposting something that has already been discussed, but as i'm not into prequels stuff, i don't normally check the updates on those...but those 99,99 got my attention

wow...just wow this one came out of the blue for me!! So far, really diggin' all the detail around the upper city, and the shape seems pretty accurate (appart the minor flaws pointed on the previous post)...and oh man, thinking i still have to get one UCS SD, i really need to win the lottery or something... already suffering from the price depression But bravo LEGO, nice UCS model there, keep it coming...altough in this case, the minifigs seems pretty expendable...
