  1. Finally got my service pack. It contained two LA's with 39X0 and two with 40X0.
  2. http://mindstorms.lego.com/en-us/News/ReadMore/Default.aspx?id=227417 Unfortunately, I do not own an Android-based phone, but it looks very promising. Some would even say it would be just a matter of time; most smart phones have Bluetooth on board, and there are quite a few apps available which enable you to control your HTPC through your phone, for instance. An official app, endorsed by TLG? All the better. :)
  3. Me neither. I really thought there were just eight LEDs on a circuitboard and a rotating disc with a hole in it. Would have been a lot less prone to damage, if you ask me. :) Thanks for sharing; perhaps Blakbird can add this to the Technicopedia?.
  4. I remember something about an LED being in there; those things rarely burn out. Does anyone have an exploded view of the part? I find it hard to believe that they stuck only one LED in there on a rotating disk, rather than putting in eight LEDs and a rotating disc with a single hole in it.
  5. No, you can't. Unless LEGO churns out something of a two-way switch, the way it was done in the 8043 is at this moment the only official way to drive six functions with three motors, with one extra to do the switch. So theoratically you can drive fourteen functions with eight motors, although I fear that the amount of friction of seven mechanical gear switches might be a bit too much.
