Hello, As the new year begins, I am looking for a 8038 set (an incomplete one) to complete my Ewoks Village ( gift for my birthday) I really ask myself the same question as this thread. I am a little suprise that nobody seems to be disturb by the feet of the 8038. It seems too small for my eyes; I really like to have the 8038 soon so I can put 7657-like feet to check my opinion.

another point is that a MOC need to be as "playable" as he movie. The shoulders and the feet have to move very freely as a joint ball is used, but, with this size...

It is always easier and less expensive to make your own version from a set than from BL only Also, the not to said it is UCS but in fact it is, is quite the good size for minifig...

First of all, I would like to tell my story about this set : When I found the first pictures, I really did not like the design, a little too "old". Then I learned that it can combine with the Phantom Then I learned that it will be the spaceship for the next TV shox Then I tryed to find some picture of the TV show. I found the TV show quite cute. So I was asking for myself : why do I dislike the Lego edition ? I found 2 reasons : 1- it needs more Tiles because the TV one seems more "smooth" ( I am thinking about the wings) 2- it might need to be larger. So now, I am a little obsessed by the two sets but I would like to know if I am really alone in this way of thinking. Thanks again

Hello, I am a beginner in Lego forum. But it seems a long time since I began to buy and build Lego Star wars sets. I hope I could share my hobby here. Right now there is too much sets that I wish to buy and not enought money or place to put them all. The X-Men Blackbird is one of my next bid, Benny's Space ship too, Sand Crawler too SSD 10211 too Ghost and Phantom too Arkam too Jedi cruiser too ... Arg... too much... Also, I define my self much more as a "want to be a MODer" but "sometimes too much MOD makes me becoming a MOCer"...

Hello, I am very glad to read this fantastic review. but right now, my heart is not completely satisfyed with the set ( I plan to buy it during the summer) The Blackbird ( SR71) is my favorite plane in the world. The X-men one is a modified one. The plane in this set seems very small ( very "KawaII") but I think that it has to be as big as the Quinjet. This said, it needs to be longer and larger. I like the idea to make more like this model http://www.fantastic-plastic.com/X-JETPage.htm Also, the Sentinel seems to me too "funny"... not enought "scary" Once again, if we see this set like a toy, it is ok, everything is "homogen" But I really like to MOD this set and I think I would need to buy two of this set...
