Product Review: BrickForge Centaurs
Legoman1979z replied to Cygnet's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Since I deiced to put them there along with my Castle sets.. their is no way I can have Centaurs fighting along side of Imperial soldiers and pirates.. In my opinion all mystical creatures should fight and be categorized along with the Castle figures. Except for Mermaids and other sea creatures that the pirates or other sea faring soldiers from the 1600, 1700, and 1800's. Since I believe there could be other creatures like aliens out there. I would not consider Aliens to be Mystical. So they can fight along side of the space police.. Now if you have some Starwars themed figures or monsters, you can also have them fight along Castle or LOTR themed sets.. Just as long as if they are not Robots.. Unless you decide you want to make the Alien robots.. But that is your choice.. How you play with your toys is your business.. But I like to try and follow some type of historical time line.. Unless you want to role play time travel or inter dimensional travel between one or more planes of Existence. Like Buck Rogers.. It just looks a bit cheesy how the colors blend together, Being made out of two different plastic materials.. I was thinking about "percy jackson & the olympians the lightning thief" when I was thinking about Centuars.. Maybe they could sell or give away a free stickers to cover the blending of the two plastics.. so it flows better.. -

Product Review: BrickForge Centaurs
Legoman1979z replied to Cygnet's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
awesome, I really like it.. It will go awesome with my LOTR themed sets.. But I noticed a couple of things.. the hands and arms don't match the rest of the body.. maybe they aren't supposed to?? but anyways it looks awesome.. to bad a regular lego back pack don't fit.. $1.49 for a special brick forge back pack is a bit steep for me.. The problem with Brick forge is price.. If they were cheaper Like mega blocks I would buy a ton.. But since they are not.. Unfortunately I will not have the pleasure in owning them. I wish I could.. But I think Legos are expensive and these are like Godiva prices.. That is crazy.. If they would charge less money.. a lot less.. instead of 4 bucks for an animal.. a buck would be better.. I might buy 40 of them.. but for 4 bucks an animal.. I will buy none... I won't buy 10 of them.. even though I could with that 40 Bucks.. They need to do some over hall on their prices if they want to grow... otherwise.. It's cool, But I ain't Buying it.. for that cost, these things better be made out of pure silver.. -
Builiding Contest entry: A day in the mexican desert
Legoman1979z replied to Ewok's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
From my experience, being half Mexican (Not an anchor baby ;-) Mexicans don't play in a band in the desert.. they usually run through the desert in order to cross the border.. Rather than going through the check point. If you want to make it more realistic, I would have built a great big fence and showed him trying to climb over it.. -
This is really confusing... Question: 1. what is a Vignette?? 2. (9. One entry per person. An entry must include a picture (no larger than 800x600) showing the vignette without the minifigure you built it for. Include the name (type) of that minifigure and the theme that you have done. Other minifigures may appear in the pictures. You may include up to 2 more images following the same rules. If you choose to take additional pictures, you may link to an outside gallery. # Digital backgrounds are allowed. First you state "One entry per person".. then you go on to say "You may include up to 2 more images following the same rules."~~ wouldn't that be 3 entries? So let me make sure I understand correctly.. The task at hand is to build a small scaled model either 8*8 or 16*16 using all pieces up to the series 1 released pieces from lego. In order to build a series 2 set. Category A is strictly for series 2 and Category B is for series 1 and two combined. You many not use any series 2 pieces in either of the two scales sets.. I am not really sure if you are allowed to make 1 , 2 , or 3 pictures.. or if you can make a little story board like a comic book.. or if all three pictures can be separate submissions. can you post some examples to clarify?? thank you

Survey: New parts and new colors
Legoman1979z replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
In the medieval market village item #10193 there are a couple of smaller animals you have to build. including a Hen, Duck, and Rooster Part 1: - Hen: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 2: - Duck: - Part description: --> I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: -->these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 3: - Rooster: - Part description: --> I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 4: - Bunny Rabbit: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 5: - Moose: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 6: - deer: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 7: - Bear: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 8: - Raccoon: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. Part 9: - Fox: - Part description: --> use any means you think necessary to explain us I think instead of building them they could make them with one piece of plastic set into a model like Light Bluish Gray Rat (brick link item # 40234) - Part usage: --> these animals could be used in with a farm set, zoo set, or any type of castle set. I also like the post on sheep, lizards, Warthog, Lion, Rhino, Hippo, and any other animals.. I think Lego should come out with a bigger farm set that includes more animals and plants, rather than machines and a few cows and pigs. Cows and pigs are a plus. But if there is no crops like corn or sun flowers to harvest, what are you supposed to do with the harvester? does it just sit there and you pretend it is broken because there are no crops? or do you roll play global warming and there are no crops after the drought or wild fires? Take a look at this play mobil set.. farm set we need a set with more animals plus crops.. animals like: hens and chickens lots of different animal ideas another look at different animals great idea of a set with a small garden great garden with crops and food more ideas of crops that should be made wheat crops that need to be made for mini-figures not Duplo another look at more animals great idea of a butcher shop need food great set with mushrooms 9used in harry potter set, needs it's own set with animals great plant and crop store more animals better winter set with animals Rabbits and sun flower idea better idea with more animals and plants great idea for tractor with crops/ food great idea of a new theme... Don't want a pink barbie house like Beville.. want it more realistic... The point I am trying to make is that most kids usually play with PLAY MOBIL because Lego doesn't have it all like Play Mobil.. Most kids start off with Play Mobil and then go to Lego, or they have both... If Lego made more sets that PLAYMOBIL has, people would stop buying playmobil as much and buy more legos..Lego needs to look at what playmobil is doing and do it too.. I think Mega Blocks and other foreign building sets are no match for Lego, But Play Mobil is their biggest competitor..If Lego doesn't wake up to Play Mobil and what they are doing.. More and more people will continue to have both and not spend as much on Lego due to the lack of sets people are demanding... Supply and Demand.. Lego won't Supply.. But we Demand it.. PLay mobil has it... It is the basics of economics.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- My sets.... part of a garden another garden and yet another 100 pc sent to lego contest 100 pc set sent to lego for contest, more food needed including red berries( clown hair) another food and animal set -

You did a great job on the house. Wish I was still able to build. Not really any time anymore to build. I hate getting older.. You get into these stumps.. when you can't build anything for the life of you.. Your lucky you still have the capability. I wish someone invented Viagra for the builder.. when you think you lost it... It comes back to you & you are inspired to build great things once again.. My wife has been doing all the building lately.. making gardens and such. She found a new use for clown hair.. clown hair 1 clown hair # 2 check out part of my collection at My Flicker here is a list of part of myMy MISB SETS

Looks awesome, But I doubt I will be able to buy it. For some reason Lego doesn't like the U.S.A. market and I bet this will be one of those sets only sold in Europe.. I wish they would treat us equally.. but they don't..
