  1. Have you looked at this thred:
  2. I have both R24 and R32 curves, but I don't use them in my current layout. By memory the short boogie-cars (24 studs - like the city passenger train) the can handle a R32 corner. The City cargo Container wagon with fixed wheels can not handle a full corner, but might be able to handle one piece R32 - eg. as a return-curve after a switch. I once used the R24 for my Winter Hollyday train. But I had to change the pivot-point on the small locomotive. The R24 are that thight.
  3. I bought it and use it on my train track. It looks really good when it works. You can switch the boom stick out with a Lego in white (and put red / white tiles on, so it looks realistic. However, it is not always the trains get the booms to automatically go up or down as they should, and sometimes I even get the booms to go up or down when I move past the field where the sensor is located, but I think it has something to do with the lighting conditions on my train track (direct sunlight and dark shadow). I haven't investigated the problem closer yet, so I believe it's a local problem and not a product problem. So based on my little experience a do recommend it.
  4. I am using the new rc-tracks, but only building pillars under the sleepers where they connect, that was why I showed it with the blue and white tracks. By elevated I do mean a few (up to 14) bricks off the ground. Thanks - I had forgotten about the small 2x2 turntables, I'll try using them when I get hold of some. At first I didn't understand the concept with the technic bricks and axles, but I found this photo that helped: Thanks - It is an excellent solution. Thanks - This was exactly what I was asking for.
  5. Sounds great :-) and very nice stuff on your website.
  6. Hello I am building an elevated track for my son on a table and due to occasional "earthquakes" I would like to mount the pillars on a baseplate. For the straight track its straight forward, but in the curves I find it rather difficult to see which studs on the baseplate fits the pillars either direct or by using jumpers. The most of the pillars will be resting on tiles. Is there anybody who already knows this and will share the information? Thanks.
  7. Having bought a lot of TrixBrix custom Switches and been using Bluebrick for all my layouts I would really like to have all their parts in the library.
  8. I have the same problem with one of mine. I have tried to open it and forced the buttons up some way to see what was the problem. I don't thing you can open it, without breaking something. And for mine it is not an easy fix. It's a little plastic-pin that's broken off.
  9. That is a very cool layout and a nice bridge on the upper level.
  10. If there is room for it on the outside of the outer loop, you could make a siding and use your stop signal to make one of the trains stop there from time to time. The same with the inner loop, where there looks to be room for a siding inside the U-turn in the front of the picture. That way controlling the trains becomes easier. If you need more track parts, you can look for them at BrickLink.
  11. Extend the number of rails between the to cut-off points. How is it nogotiating the switch-points? Is the front (and back) overha g not a problem?
  12. Another issue is the time he has to wait. He can buy the passengertrain now and strat playing, but how long will he have to wait until he have saved enough to buy the cargo train. If its months I'll go for the train he wants. He can start saving for the train station after that.
  13. Hi Rail Co Does your blue motor have "4,5 V" stamped on one of the small sides? The only set a can find witch contains both the blue large motor, the blue battery box and large wheels like these: is Super Set (set no. 88) from 1969: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=088-1 If the wheels er 2*2 stud train wheels and 2*2 stud (car) wheels, there are more obtions, like set no. 102 (4.5V Motor Set): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=102-1 or set no. 107 (4.5V Reversible Power Unit (Motor): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=115-2. Hope this was helpfull.
  14. From my memory I would say about twice as fast, maybe a little more, but it's without any scientific proof.
  15. There is a German instruction on how to make the black 2*3 signal stones here: http://www.carlegler.de/signal.htm
