  1. https://www.facebook...740429604312872 Forgive me, I don't know how to post a video. I apologize for the overall quality, but I am limited in my equipment. I spent several hours on this, and I couldn't get it how I liked it no matter how much I tinkered with it. I created this using an iPhone camera and a keychain flashlight. I had to use a Stormtrooper to free Han because I only have 1 Boushh figure, and you need 2 to achieve the illusion perfectly. I am not trying to show off, but my intent is to inspire someone with greater skill and equipment to pull off a really cool effect. This effect could be used as seen above, or it could be used to show a lightsaber igniting, or have Luke talk with Obi-Wan's apparition, or have Vader confer with the Emperor's hologram, or have Obi-Wan be struck down by Vader and disappear. I hope you enjoy the idea, but most of all I hope it inspires your creativity.
  2. I really like your details and the use of colors.
  3. Picked up the Jedi Defender-class Cruiser at Toys R Us during their Star Wars event for $66. Great deal at that price. Great minifigures in the set.
  4. This is a great set. Went into Toys R Us today because they had a Lego Movie event, where the kiddos could make Emmet's car. Ended up walking out with $65 in new SW Legos. That's how they get you I guess. Got some planet sets on clearance, Cloud Car for $5.40 and Naboo Fighter for $6.00. Anyway, the Coruscant Police Gunship was fun to build. I like the storage compartments and opening doors on the sides. My favorite part by far is how they did the cockpit canopy. I love how it opens out and up, great play value. My only nitpick would be how the wings sort of flop around instead of staying stationary.
  5. I've been itching to create something from the Star Wars Universe, every time I think of something I'd like to create it seems TLG has already made a set. Having become frustrated I simply disassembled the few non-Star Wars Lego sets I owned to see what I could come up with. All parts were sourced from the following sets: Bad Cop's Pursuit 70802 Batman: Man-Bat Attack 76011 Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle 76006 General Grievous' Wheel Bike (just 2 pieces for engine flaps) Batman: Defend the Batcave 10672 (2 pieces used for cockpit seat) and 2 Mega Blocks Pieces from a giant Halo set for the engines I'm sure it's frowned upon to use "fake" Legos, but I was just trying to get the creative juices flowing, to prove to myself that I could create something. Here's our pilot. The minifig body comes from a collection of Legos my nephew gave me. The head is Aldrich Killian, and the hair is Nightwing's :) Here are the pod engines. You can see the giant cylinder pieces from the Mega Blocks set. Pilot in his pod, with the canopy up. View from the back. Different engine view. I'm not sure what can be used for cables to connect the pod to the engines. Here you can see the interior details of the pod, such as the controls. This is my first post of a creation. My main reason for posting is for encouragement as I begin in this hobby. I hope you are not offended by it, or my post.
  6. I grew up with more Legos than any kid has any business owning, but I have an older brother, and when his kids were born all of our old toys went to them. Now after seeing the Lego Movie with my son I was inspired to start a new collection from scratch. Here is my collection now. My most recent purchases were the Death Star troopers pack, Jedi Interceptor, Grievous Wheelbike, and midi-scale Star Destroyer. The model on the top shelf belongs to my roommate, it is a Halo Megablocks set.
