I have recently drug out my 9v train so my kids could play with it and thought about adding to it with some PF trains. I know I have read somewhere on line that someone was looking into using an old gutted 9v motor connected to their battery pack. Then having a section of their train layout with metal rails connected to a regulator so as the train travels over that section it recharges the battery a bit increasing the range of the battery. Does anyone have a link or know anything about this?
