I'm in the same boat. Got the others, but the beautiful CC is out of reach. Far too expensive for me. While that is said, the lack of interior and details on the back side makes it less impressive in my eyes and I'm not really that sad. So let us hope for a corner building next year. edit: also thanks for the quick pictures, Grogall! Anyone doing a review soon?

that's a great moc! love the jukebox! I have not seen this before, and don't mind the topic being resurrected. I'd like to try and make something similar some day.

It looks to be a bit wider than green grocer, almost as wide as fire brigade. I like it, but it's far from the best modular... The hype around 10218 have maybe been a bit too much, I had extremely high expectations. Anyone know release date? And price?

There's something deliciously retro about the parts being used in this set. In fact the entire set brings back memories from the 80s space sets.

A container of wresslin! The ladder should be the appropriate height.

This is so exciting. Is TLG present at New York Toy Fair? Maybe we'll get some news this weekend? I hope for something out of the ordinary.. Haunted house? Mad scientist's mansion? But it will probably be something like pet shop or post office..

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Soulgem replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Got my case today. Series 3 is available in Norway in some toy stores, and there are dots on the packages. -
grats to the winners. many extremely good entries. but a bit weird that three train stations won. my favorites were the ski resort lift and the church with the nativity scene.

great review.. thanks. I've been thinking of this set, but I'm still not sold on it. looks unfinished, and too small for the price. but that shaakti figure makes it almost worth the price
-
Not sure if it's worth reporting, but Diagon Alley is now listed available for order (at least in Norway).

I wouldn't say people are complaining, more pointing it out. And we all recognize the purpose of the sale. Clearing out stock. While I don't really care, as I have all the 2010 sets I want, I still think it's a bit of a cheap move to half the price on sets that have been sold out for a while. And it's not like it's a scripting problem, as there still are sets that haven't been put on sale. So someone deliberately put the likes of Green Grocer on sale, even if it's already sold out. Why? Bigger companies have done worse.. Personally, I'll let this lie, I think it's great when sets sell out. But conspiracy theories are always entertaining
-
Yup, this looks like a fake sale. Both Minifigs series 2 and Green Grocer was sold out already, most of those other sets probably were too. Annoying that TLG pulls a trick like this, but ok.. Those of you who haven't felt like picking up Home One before, should probably do it now, it's a cool set. No one will buy that UCS Jedi fghter, not even at 50% off

These are really funny, and they keep getting better. Keep them coming :D

While I do like City Lego, I just can't stand these thin buildings with holes and open backs. Will we see more of these giant modular buildings? Any news on this?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Soulgem replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My preferred local toy store thought they would get them on their next delivery, in the end of next week. Not sure this goes for the rest of Europe, but I hope we all get them soon. -
Thanks. I can definitely get the materials down probably 50%, there were high grade, expensive stuff. I'm probably going to try again soon, cheaper materials, and a few variations. I have no particular sewing experience, other than knowing how the machine works, but it wasn't that difficult.

Hey people. If this is the wrong forum, then I apologize. I'd like to show a project I started (and finished today). My nephew has a lot of bricks and they are just lying in random boxes. When I was in Legoland, I was looking for something similar to my old official Lego Sack. But I don't think TLG is making them anymore. I thought, "how hard can it be to make one?" And here is the result: I cut out a piece of denim slightly bigger than my old bag. Green border. The oldschool Lego colors are red, white, blue, yellow and black. Not green. But it looks ok I think. It's roughly 1m in diameter. Now my old bag has a Lego label, but I thought an "official" bag should actually have the logo. So I cut out a piece of label from my nephews old Lego clothes. I hope I don't get a cease and desist letter from TLG now. It was just for fun Should I ever make more of these, I'm making my own logo or name for it. Brick Bag? Brick Sack? Rivets. Never done those before, but it turned out ok. I see I maybe should have had them the other way. Also, I could have had the rivets a bit closer to the edge. I'm also considering adding more rivets. Next to my old Lego Sack. Materials were probably a lot more expensive than I can get them if I do an effort. The materials that make up the sack were around $60. I'm sure there are others who have made something similar, but let me know what you think anyway :)

Great review. I'm surprised that an entire box contained a that even distribution of the figures. I too liked Series 1 better before I got Series 2 in hand. Now, I think Series 2 is superior. Dracula is amazing, as is Surferdude and Spartan. But the real show-stopper is the Mexican. Series 1, with Zombie, Space-Man, Robot, Ninja and Diver is still better to get multiples of, but Series 2 is just stronger in terms of details, painting and accessories.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

Agree, that is a good alien head. The alien has me really excited. The spaceman from wave 1 needs some "friends". -
Thanks guys. I've started reading reviews of new sets.

...well maybe not that old. But old enough to remember vividly when Space Lego minifigs had no visor in their helmets. Glad to be on eurobricks, but it looks to be a huge forum, it may take a while to get familiar. Directions are appreciated :) After a trip with my nephew to Legoland, I got a renewed interest for the fantastic bricks. Found my old Lego, bought some new sets. I've always collected stuff, taken relatively good care of my toys. So I still have most, if not all of my old Lego in this bag. Yep, that's the official Lego bag And during another excursion to my parent's attic, I found the 7720. I believe the rest of the parts are in my Lego bag Oh yeah.. from Norway.

Great pictures. I bought my shuttle in Legoland, Denmark. Me and some friends had a blast assembling it. The thing is huge and has great playability.
