I've spent some time trying to redesign the nose myself. Here's what I managed to come up with. It is taller than the original one but I always thought that it should be anyway. I built it and attached to the hull, and it looked promising, but since my bricks were a patchwork of different colours, it wasn't very pictureworthy. If someone should care to build it properly and take a few photos, I would be happy to see the end result. The lxf file.
