Been into the Milton Keynes Lego store today and said to the cashier while paying I was looking forward to the Town Hall coming out. She said it is out on 1st March! Not long to go!!!
A better idea would be to use a motherboard tray which you then mount to the Lego case and also a hard drive cage which again you attach to the Lego. You can buy these seperatly or you could get a old/cheap beige case and cut out the good bits.
This will ensure your components are securely mounted. Remember that you need to connect the motherboard tray to the psu so it has a ground connection as well.
Where did you get the design from? I've had a search around and cannot find any references to it! Interested into adding it to my line up.
Progress so far looks great, looking forward to you getting more parts.
You have to remember that the US prices do NOT include any sales tax, this is added in the later stages of placing an order depending on what state/city you live in.
Most other Lego stores around the world have VAT/sales tax included in the price. When you consider that in the UK the vat/sales tax is 20% (similar in most of europe) and is included in the headline price you quickly understand the price difference.
Selling a product globally in vastly different markets, with different tax structures, different currency's and different sale volumes will always produce pricing variations. This is not unique to lego.
I would too like to have a go at building this, I have many things to recycle :)
I can't do PM's yet, been lurking for far to long, could you email it to sonkorhal@hotmail.co.uk please?
Many thanks,
Sikozu
