Eurobricks Raffle and Mystery Treasure Hunt
EpicXDFail replied to WhiteFang's topic in Forum Information and Help
Because this treasure hunt is so hard so only the truly hard-core LEGO AFOLers can get, maybe instead you guys should make it so you would simply be submitted in the raffle the number of people you found. So the more people you get, the more likely you are to win . But there would still be a limit of only 1 minifig per person. Because something tells me that less than 16 people are going to find them all . -
Wow! That's epic! Really awesome wave . Lots of effort put into it I can see.

Woo! Ringmaster was easy! I still have to find some others... -
Great MOC! Love the color pattern on the outside wall, and it's nice that the fireplace has a light brick :) And good job on the roof :D

Wow! That is SO awesome! :) Really well made, simple yet detailed. Really great veriety! :)

Wow! That's awesome! Really great how it's all modular and stuff :) Definitely great playability. Kind of weird though how you have to use marbles, not LEGO balls. I think it would be cool to have other pieces, such as a piece that would make the ball slowly spin to the center and fall, or a spiral, and much more :). But that stuff would be pretty hard to do....

YESSSSSS! I got the fourth one! That one was pretty tough and creative. But when I saw that somebody used bricklink - that definitely helped me. I still have to get #2 and #3... EDIT: Now I've done #3! Just #2 is left... -

Really nice car! I love the detail in the lights, and it's nice that there are movable parts like the opening engine and doors. The special wheels are cool too :) -

Grr, I think I know what the answer to the "riddle" is, but I can't say it to check if I have the right idea... I've searched it but I can't find it... -

Ooh! Cool treasure hunt :). I already found the first one... -
I was just looking around, and I found out that Lego Education had a really good pack of black plates for only $12. You can find it here. Here is what the pack has: 20 x 1x2 plate 10 x 2x4 plate 20 x 1x3 plate 10 x 2x3 plate 20 x 1x4 plate 10 x 1x6 plate 10 x 1x8 plate 10 x 1x10 plate 10 x 2x4 plate (with holes) 10 x 2x6 plate (with holes) 10 x 2x8 plate (with holes) 10 x 2x10 plate 5 x 4x4 plate 5 x 4x6 plate 5 x 6x10 plate (total of 165 elements) All of the pieces I could find on PAB (ignoring color) except for one piece, 2x6 or 2x8 (I forgot), but I just assumed it was about 25 cents based on others. Thus, on PAB it would be about $27, so this is a pretty good deal! As far as practical uses, it might be helpful for foundations on different layers to modular buildings. And other stuff. I'm not really sure :P I hope you guys find that interesting, and that you didn't already know about that :P.

Well, WeDo is also compatible with a more open programming language called "Scratch" by MIT (download it for free at http://scratch.mit.edu/), which is much more open and programmable as well as interactive compared to the WeDo software (still a drag-and-drop programming language). By using this, you could maybe have unlimited motors, but who honestly has enough USB slots for it to be practical? Also, unlike the WeDo software, on Scratch, you can't identify specific motors for certain commands - instead if you have say, 2 motors, by doing a command, it does the action for both of the motors. As well as that, the only other downside to Scratch for WeDo is that there's no block for "shaking" in the tilt sensor - but it really doesn't matter that much :P. With Scratch, someone made these with WeDo: Submarine project (uses WeDo to interact in-game): http://vimeo.com/6884185 (shows Scratch program too) Balancing Robot (balances, but the trick is, it does it via the motion sensor!): http://vimeo.com/6669802 Ferris Wheel (uses WeDo to interact in-game): http://vimeo.com/6969551 So it does have some potential.

Sorry that this may be a nooby and slightly off-topic question - but for great ball contraptions, where do you get the soccer balls? -
Looks like an awesome game! :D I definitely want to get it, with all of the nice parts :D. Any practical uses for the gold circle tiles other than coins? I mean I prefer the coins from the pirate sets... :P But I guess these ones are bigger for people with bigger hands xP I definitely want to get it :D

I have a weird question - is there anybody who was crazy enough to keep inventory of the pieces they have?

Wow! Awesome. Really great collectible :D. Really nice detail - they're like bobble-heads sort of :P. It did seem a bit pricey, but who cares. Good choice of Star Wars characters too. -
Wow! Very creative and funny :P!

I wanted to create this topic to discuss about Microfigs and the various things you can do with them. I was going to make a poll, but apparently I can't until I become a knight. Oh well :P. So yeah - how many do you have? I have 13. 12 from Minotaurus, and 1 from Creationary :D. What set do you think is best for buying microfigs? Ramses Pyramid seems to have the most, with 13, compared to Minotaurus with 12, but Minotaurus has more a more spread out veriety with 4 colors of 3 microfigs each, whereas Ramses pyramid has 8 mummies, and only 1 of each of the players, with the king microfig. Do you think Microfigs are worth buying in bulk? Discuss. :D

Here's my best go. This is my first time free building a spherical-like object, so I hope it's not that bad :P Anyway it's a lemon. Front: Back: I hope you guys like :D
-
Really nice! You did good job packing lots of detail into such small space. And it looks like it's roughly the same size of a Microfig, yes?
-
Looks like another great set! Especially because it's modular, and it's smaller than the others, so it should be a bit cheaper :D.
