Well said. For me the rebel frigate is too expensive because it's a not particularly attractive model of a not at all iconic ship so I won't be buying it unless I happen across it VERY discounted. On the other hand, I honestly don't think they could set a price tag I wouldn't pay for an updated UCS Falcon.

Love it, absolutely stunning. -

It doesn't feel as hard as regular lego plastic but it much less rubbery than the clone wars alien heads. -

Agreed, I pretty much just got it for Ezra and Chopper. I'll also be compelled to get whatever set includes Sabine. -

All I can say is that it's a good job you haven't posted the LDD... (I'm already resisting asking if I can get the LDD for the Whistling Owl) Fantastic work again Bob! -

ToysRUs Livingstone and Lego store Glasgow have them. The Ghost and The Phantom followed me home, I've posted a bunch of pics here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=96256

(Apologies for the rushed photos - I'm not really into doing reviews but I thought I would put these photos up since these kits haven't been reviewed on here yet) The Phantom (75048) Sticker sheet: Minifigs: Ezra Bridger and Chopper. Ezra has two expressions and a helmet At the end of bag 1: At the end of bag 2: Spare parts: The top is removable for access to the astromech and there's a small compartment at the back where Ezra's blaster and helmet (or hair) can be stored The finished product: It's a straightforward build with no real surprises. The cockpit is almost airtight, the folding wings are nicely executed. The Ghost (75053) Sticker Sheet: Minifigs: Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Zeb Orrelios, random stormtrooper Kanan and Hera have two expressions. Is this a new piece? After bag 1: The front gunnery section slides out for minifig access (and there's room to seat two in there). I've pulled the cargo bay out because despite it opening it is basically completely inaccessible once assembled. The cargo bag is also a hinderance during the first bag as it constantly flops open. This is fixed during bag 2 with a rubber technic piece to prevent the latch falling open. After bag 2: After bag 3: After bag 4: After bag 5: After bag 6: The two halves of the escape pods just slot together but are secured after sliding into place on the ship. Lots of storage for weapons and for a spare shooter projectile. Phantom docked Some nice under-side details. Cargo bay access.... This is the only way to get to it. Spares: This was pretty fun to build although the four identical wings were a bit dull. The shape of the ship is pretty well rendered with nice angles, the cockpits and gunnery stations close nicely except for the top turret which has gaping holes. The weapon storage in the center and side compartments is a nice touch. There is one HUGE and GLARING problem with this set - where is Sabine Wren? The sixth member of the team seems like a much more logical inclusion than a single random stormtrooper. There's even a place for her to sit (behind the front gunner station). Presumably she'll follow in a subsequent set....

UV film will help a great deal. It also helps keep the room from getting really hot in summer. Here's a tip though - get the window REALLY REALLY clean before you try and put it on. If you don't it'll end up peeling off. -

It's because of the UV in sunlight. If you put UV reflective film on the window it will help a lot. -

Here's an updated shot - I've needed to double the size of my display system since the photo I posted in Feb. Considering this collection only started in Jan it's grown pretty fast. Barring any really good new MOCs or Episode VII stuff I'm finished for now though - I have all of the models that I want (besides the two Jedi minifigs that I'm waiting to arrive). -
I sorted the nose but lightly sanding the back of one of the dark red 2x4 plates, it fits very nicely now. The wings remain a problem. I tried your mod and a couple of my own - if the sides became strong enough then the wings would still pull themselves off. A 2x4 attachment still isn't strong enough. Also, they droop badly on the central hinges. It's together but must be lifted VERY carefully. Still, it's gorgeous! .jpg] There are a couple of pieces that need to be changed to the correct colour (still waiting on the last few pieces). Also, a cradle of some sort is definitely needed (I've removed the ventral fin and fitted a support for the time being).

Most of the parts are here and I got the fuselage and most of one wing+engine done last night. The wings are surprisingly strong but LDD's build order is horrible! The fuselage is not strong - the front piece keeps popping off and there isn't nearly enough holding the rear together. The weight of one unfinished wing+engine pod is enough to tear the rear portion of the side of (ultimately it's only held on by a 2x1 stud connection. I've got a few ideas for strengthening it but I think I may need to glue a couple of key points.

Got an ARC-170 and Anakin's Y-wing so my republic starfighter collection will be finished when the parts for the ARC-135 arrived. Also just ordered a bunch of Jedi minifigs.

Well, (not so) small snag hit. The seller that I got the bulk of the pieces from has sent me someone else's order....
