  1. Try WD-40 in the internal gearing and on the piston rods. My EN runs like a dream after this small tweak.
  2. Might be a silly question, but what do you look at to determine the stud width? If I look at the Emerald Night, for example, it appears to be a 7 wide based on the maximum width of the body, but the driving rods push it to an extra stud on each side, making it in effect 9 studs wide.
  3. Thanks for sharing! That looks amazing! I've always been a big fan of the PRR T1 and the S1 as well. Have you thought at all about pairing up some passenger cars to this beast?
  4. I was having the same issues everyone else was reporting here. I used some Labelle teflon grease on the moving parts on my Emerald Night's driving rods (pistons) and that solved the problems. This is the same grease I use on my Lionel train gears each Christmas.
