  1. I doubt it unfortunately-not seen much of the T-rex yet.
  2. Right, lot is here and sorting is proceeding. So far it seems the non lego elements are mostly Character builder (two sets I think) and a smattering of megabloks. Nothing too bad so far- majority is lego. Some broken pieces (maybe less than a dozen) Biggest problem is the stuff is rather fragrant.... someone's big on the air freshner at home I suspect! Sets I've identified as being represented so far are (in addition to those listed above); 4770-1 (blizzard blaster) 7945-1 (fire station) 7477-1 (T-1 Typhoon vs T-rex) 4210-1 (Cost Guard platform) 8633-1 (Mission 4: Speed boat rescue) 4766-1 (Graveyard Duel) 3827-1 (Adventures in Bikini Bottom) What's surprised me is this is clearly more than one persons lego- got some very old figures and some parts I recognise from my childhood, along with the modern stuff. Not a bad deal, so far.
  3. It's bizarre looking- doesn't look like any megabloks hull I've seen online and looks legoy in some ways (split sections, shape of middle pieces) but I'm fairly sure it isn't genuine-best hope is the plates/beams in it are genuine. Will sort the lot and anything none genuine will go to plastics recycling.
  4. Thanks all- I meant to add a link but forgot and its a faff on my phone. Looking at what Lego goes for by the kilo from "specialist" sellers this side of the pond (give or take £25/kilo with minifigs etc stripped out) the price was ok. I know from getting out my childhood lego "clean, all Lego" listing can often be genuine mistakes-the amount of random bits and childhood stickiness in mine shocked me. Interestingly the green truck body was what initially worried me -guess that was fropm the years my uni friends and myself criticised Lego for trying to be too model like Will see on Thursday what I get and report back-this seems a good forum even as a lurker.
  5. Haha, that's very true. Hopefully the ship in this is a one off bought by a slightly misguided relative (apparently the lot is a child's Lego collection from when they were younger)
  6. Well darn, but thanks :/ That'll learn me....
  7. So after my "dark ages" ended by buying a small lego space rover set, and about a year of buying kits for myself (technic, city and creator) my desire to free build was fired by a couple of brickjournals and a book appearing at Christmas. I decided to browse ebay for some bulk lego job lots (as my old lego is built up into the sets) to get some in and spotted this lot which I naturally snapped up with a minimum of thinking; Now, having paid for it and thought about it a little I'm slightly worried; particularly by the ships hull that the seller has their hand on above as I can't recognise it as a lego hull. So, my question is, have I lucked out on an incredibly rare piece (fat chance!) or have I stupidly bought a load of megabloks...
