I bought mine a few days ago and it took me 2 days (a few hours here and there) to build it. It was actually quite fun to build. The combination of unique pieces to build the sales is exceptional. A little off topic, but where did you get them from? I wasn't aware they were out yet.

Just to let anyone who maybe interested in buying one of these cases that you will have to play around with certain minifigs to get them to fit. For example, the Spartan Warrior from Series 2, Fisherman and Indian Chief from Series 3, Lawn Gnome from Series 4, and the Ice Fisherman from Series 5 all need to have their spear/fishing rod tilted on an angle. The inside area of each place for the minifig to fit is not as tall as the spears/fishing rods when stood up in a vertical position. It's a little annoying, but as these are the best cases I have seen for displaying your minifigs, it was an annoyance I settled for. But someone else might prefer to have the spears/fishing rods stand in a natural vertical position.

Where did you score them from?

Apparently BigW are selling them for $19.67, but I have rang a few stores in my area and none of them had them in stock. If anyone else sees them in a BigW store can you let me know. I need 3 more cases to complete all 5 series.

Take a can of spray paint to the base plates to the color you want.

I managed to pickup 2 of the large display cases from my local Mr Toys Toyworld here in Australia for AU$29.99 each. So far I have a yellow one for series 1 and a blue one for series 5 (I don't have a full set of series 2, so I went with the other series that is blue). If anyone wants one, let me know and I can grab one for you. They just received a few boxes of them and have them in Black, Blue, Yellow, and Red. Yes I see now. I was only looking at the thumbnails.

If you look at the Series 7 preview image it has a white background also, so I think they are using the white background to throw us off until they are released. I personally feel they will be gray from the color scheme that Lego uses. So far they have used Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red. So Gray must be next.

I think it's outrageous that Australia has to pay nearly double what the US does for Lego. They're obviously making a bloody huge profit margin from us.
