Used the coupons at Toyworld Albany this afternoon. Called them around 11am, they had 5 Detective Offices. Was 3 on the shelf by the time I arrived. I got 1 and someone else had taken 1 by the time I left! No Slaves I saw, and a shortage of Superheroes (they fly off the shelves, according to the staff).

Evening all! I found a box of the Simpsons minifigures in Whitcoulls Takapuna today. Grabbed 2 bags. 2 Milhouses. Bother! Box was pretty full.

Farmers Takapuna has the new Lord of the Rings sets on the shelves. 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush $190 79007 Battle at the Black Gate $130 79006 Council of Elrond $70 79005 The Wizard Battle $30 but despite the 20% off those prices I gave them a miss.

I picked up the Sopwith Camel last week from Toyworld Albany. $150-nice little discount. Beautiful model. Very swoosh-able Hopefully it's successful enough so that we get a redo of the Red baron tri-plane too and then? Spitfire please!

Same story for Toyworld Albany up here. They had 4 collectable minifigures behind the counter that they had um.. "pre-felt"? That saved me hunting for the 4 of them (fairy, actor, cowgirl and conquistador) but I must have spent a good half hour hunting down another 9. Just santa, business man and the German to get - misfelt the actor's frill as a pretzel! Can you believe it! All the staff there were very understanding of an AFOL hunting down his figures. I was not the first one to sift through the minifigure bin apparently

Included in my Lego Club magazine today was a series 4 Minifigure! Pleasent surprise. Toyworld is having another national Building competition starting April 1 and there's a "finish the story" competition to win Ninjago sets too.

Hi All Farmers Takapuna has the Series 6 Collectable Minifigures. I grabbed a random 14 bags and was wondering about my luck when 5 opened bags in I had 3 highlanders! Ended with 9 different and some duplicates. Went back later and tried to feel the rest. I'm left needing the robot and the spacegirl. Was sure I had the robot but it appears I may have confused a teddy bear with a robot head... as 1 does They have about a half dozen City of Atlantis too.

Picked up a series 5 gangster at Albany Kmart and a Detective for my boy who wanted a "spyglass". Helped out a mum looking for an evil dwarf too (came across 3 of those before I found the detective... still no clown). In other news, series 5 is at the Albany Warehouse, along with the new Kingdoms and Alien Conquest sets. Picked up a Mill Village Raid for me.$150, but had vouchers, so no stress from the wife

Toyworld in Browns Bay has them. Was feeling for figures there in the weekend and got another gladiator. Haven't been able to "feel" a clown or gangster yet... One day.....

Saw Hoth Echo Base 7879 in Farmers Takapuna today. 4-5 boxes at $180 a pop.

I've ordered lego from Barnes and Noble in the states. Got 4 of the Pharaoh's Quest sets from them. Pyramid, sphinx, cobra and Gold staff guardians for $255NZ including shipping, which wasn't too bad. They split the order though. The Pyramid arrived in 19 days, the last 2 sets arrived after 39 or 40 days. Only mention because at Bricksdownunder.com they've said there's another 30% off 1 item coupon for them and that's what I used for my last order. Coupon is V7T4Y4X. Haven't tried it but worked fine last time. They had excluded the new Cars and POTC sets last time I checked though.

There was a 20% off sale on those prices but they are still are a bit steep for me.

Gidday. I've scanned back to the beginning of March and can't see anything, so just to mention... Thought I would take a look at Farmers Albany for the 30% sale Thursday, seriously tempted by the City of Atlantis temple, but only got some Cars for my boy. Kmart has the space sets 3365 3366 3367 and 3368. Can't remember any prices though, maybe $129 for 3368. Haven't seen them anywhere else yet.

Hi all I was at the Albany Warehouse yesterday, just checking out what they had- no Series 3 mini figures in evidence, but then... looking way up I saw what looked like an unopened, lego labelled cardboard box. I could see clearly labelled Mini figures series 3, 2 boxes within. I think it was directly above the bulk of the Ninjago sets. If you're looking there, maybe ask the staff to bring it on down- this was at about 3pm yesterday.

Couldn't bring myself to forage through the bags , bit the bullet and bought an unopened box for $240NZ. The local Toyworld had them out on the 31st. I've opened 1 row of twenty so far....4 aliens, 3 sumos....not great....1 elf and fisherman - excellent! Have to wait for the rest- the wife wants to open her fair share

I made my first Bricklink purchase only a month or so ago. I had never heard of Dan before today, but I too feel someone who gave a lot of people happiness through his efforts has been lost too early. Thoughts to the Jesek family.

I got the Battle of Alamut from Fishpond for $109 not long after it came out,still haven't seen it that cheap anywhere else-though that might happen in the near future. Came through the post right as rain. Having said that, I have to agree that most of the time their pricing is, shall we say, "creative"? Having said THAT I noticed that they had the Kingdoms castle for $149 earlier today, which isn't too bad really,I think it's been about $199 everywhere I've seen it. So that's about 25% off....I suppose there's a good deal every now and then.

$4.99 each in Milford Warehouse. I had actually called the Brown's Bay Toyworld and they didn't have them today but they had suggested in past calls they might be asking a little more than that-though I would be surprised if they don't match the Warehouse prices. I had some Warehouse vouchers, luckily. Total cost for my haul was $4.

Minifigures series 2 are at the Warehouse! I gave the Albany and Milford branches a call and they both have them. Shot into Milford at lunch and picked up a set... plus 1 more mexican and spartan...OK 3 mexicans all told....and an extra karate guy and skier. 1 and a half boxes there-pretty much ended up going through the lot to get the set. Lifeguard and pop singer were the most scarce- I'm pretty sure I got the last of both there. Go get 'em people!

Amazon Ancient Ruins 5986! My Great White Whale since I came out of my dark ages. Finally got tired of waiting for it to pop up on Trademe and got it off Bricklink. It's just luverly!

Just noticed that Fishpond.co.nz has 7572 Quest Against Time for $59.97. Not a bad mark down. The other Persia sets they stock have gone up though. I got Alamut there for $109 a month ago.

Forgive an ignorant newbie When TLG asked for our ideas....I was obviously not paying attention Is this info somewhere in the forums or somewhere else....I'm curious to know what everyone was keen on/think is coming.
