  1. Glad you like. Vive L'Empereur!!!!!
  2. I worship the Emperor too. Greatest man that ever lived. What about this? I saw it once, so I made one.
  3. I like it. Increase mast height and it's perfect. truly spectacular stern.
  4. Your frigate would make a very passable Battleship of the line. :'-)
  5. It's possible. Right now the project is on standstill. i have to study for college entrances exams.
  6. I concur with Legeaux, all this ship's problems are easily correctable. Very easy. I REALLY like the rigging as well. (I think that the formast needs to be lowered a little). Someone put a lot of time into the rig.
  7. The bow is terrible! Ugh! Stern is nice. colours are nice. But it really is ughly, the bad proportions ruin it.
  8. Vastly Improved!!!!
  9. That sail I forgot about earlier was the boomsail or spanker
  10. I figured that the parts were an issue, that's why my two deck ship of the line has only 20 guns and the same colour scheme of the black seas barracuda (from which it was modified). NO PLANS, boo, hiss, aw well. Can you make some higher resolution close ups of the bow and stern and one close up of your sides. BTW What are your other vessels? So would I, but the constraints of LEGOs require me to place a spar beneath my courses. (I like to have solid built sails. My ships are somewhat laking in authenticity regarding the actual rigging, but I have the right sails.) You will note that in the picture, I drew a lateen mizzen course, this is because it is in the patten of Battleships of the late 1600s early 1700s. Napoleonic vessels would have a more rectangular sail (the proper name escapes me at this moment).
  11. Though he'll need to add the quaterdeck. Maybe 4-6 guns on it. The only issues I have with this design are the guns, which I would have staggered like -_-_-_-_-_-_- rather than like ========= because the weight of the cannons on top of each other is structurally unsound in real life, as ship designers found out in numerous disasters involving this setup during the 1500s. The other problem I have is a matter of personal taste, red is my favourite colour hands down, but I'm not sure I like the effect of solid red. My preferred colour scheme I'm still trying to determine, but I think that solid lacks the authentic feelings, but maybe that's just me. French ships would have either a brown or black side with white strips for the guns. LEGO bricks impose some restrictions on the construction of completely accurater ships, though. The basic shape of this design does take the cake in terms of the best potential for improment. I though the angle of the bowsprite was to high, but that's easily remedied. I think that this vessel is to be emulated in regards to mulltideck design and stern construction. More to the point, I want the plans for it. Or at least for the bow and the stern sections.
  12. Here you go. I would also recommend the addition of a quarterdeck to make the drop between the poop and maindecks more aesectically appealing and also more in keeping with tradition. On the topic of masts, two jibs, three foresails, three mainsails, and two mizzen sails would be sufficient. (Just look at the masts and spars that I painted to see what goes where).
  13. Make it slightly longer (2 hull segs) and add a third mast and you will have one of the best. (Not that it isn't already). I realize of course that you had a part constraint, those restrictions are terrible aren't they?. I will post an MS paint mod of your pic to show what might be improved.
  14. Yamato is my favourite ship in the real world along with the Soliel Royale and the Kirov. But the Scimitar is my fav. LEGO one. Plus I like the Legomalee a lot too.
  15. Next project: the uniform of the grenediers of the Old Guard (Guarde Imperiale) of Napoleon Bonaparte.
  16. If only I could. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . If only. . . My favourite ship in history.
  17. So when I print them they fit the soldier's torsos. Glad you like it. They're will be more soon.
  18. Actually, your both right. Pinnaces are small merchant ships. Usually they have two mast, but towards the end of the 1600s on, the term was applied to small three-masted coasters and trade vessels. Also, many small mail carriers (rigged in tartane and sloop fashion) were referred to as pinnaces. Also, tenders and launches are referred to as such.
  19. Thank you very much!!! BTW Your moniter is truly the greatest LEGO steam vessel I've ever seen! In the same category, I would like to someday build an Ironclad central battery vessel or an early armoured cruiser (right now, the Inflexible and the Riurik are possibilities). Right now I have a battleship constructed (will post pics soon), but what I have in mind is bigger. However, my funds are short now, so this will be postponed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a convincing turret of the period (1870-1920). Inflexible doesn't need them, but the Ruirik has a few.
  20. Cheapest.
  21. Hands down, this is my favourite MOC. It's not to elabourite but its got nice clean lines, I love it! I would like to get the plans for it.
  22. is it possible for you to post the plans for the RTS Legomalee (I hope I spelled that right). I would like to know what materials are needed as well. I may want to construct a near copy if I ever get the money. Also, who is the best brick supplier? (In Western USA).
  23. I have just created the uniform of a Russian officer of jaegers/chassuers. Hence the slight olive tinge in the green, otherwise it would be a dark forest green. To complete an authentic jaeger/chassuer uniform, the trousers and arms sould match in colour. Also, how do I know what size I should use to fit my army? Plus, Can anyone upload some blank Templates so I can colour them in. I hope to create an entire line of Russian, Venetian, modern Chinese, and soviet uniforms. In Addition I will add some fantasy uniforms for Britain, France, and others as I feel. Also, i want to make Napoleon's traditional green uniform. Bonaparte made an excellent blue dress, but in the field and in most descriptions of him, he wears a dark green Chassuer's officer jacket. (Trimmed with red and gold).
  24. Lovely. looks a lot like my recently finished Spanish Brig-of-war: Resplendant. I'll post pics as soon as I get a digital camera.
