Legowife

Hello everyone my wife has passed the account onto me after surprising me at Christmas with the 42000 and pf set. Thanks for the advice you all gave her. Thought I would do a little introduction have recently got back into lego with my 6 year old son building some of the lego city sets with him which is great fun but have been looking to get back into the more complex stuff and have recently built the vw camper van after approx 15 years away from building anything. I really like the f1 car and have it 3/4's built but would really like to make it r/c (my other hobby is nitro r/c cars). I understand it will be nowhere near the same performance wise but still think it would be cool to combine the 2. However things have moved on since I last built anything so I don't have a clue on how to do this. Would it be possible for one of you guys to advise me on how to do this?

Thanks for the replies guys. Very confusing, one more question if I buy the 8293 set will he need that plus the bits listed by Allan for full remote control? As would like to get as many bits as I can to really surprise him as he thinks i don't have a clue when it comes to lego :-)

Hi can anyone help me? I have purchased the Lego technics f1 car for my husband Christmas present. He often talks about the set being motorised or remote control. Can anyone help me so that I can buy the right parts to do this as want everything ready for him to do it straight from the box on Christmas Day. Has anybody done this before and can anyone guide me in the right direction in what to buy? Sorry for all the questions.
