  1. as you asked for comments, I am more than happy to supply my perspective uopn your work. this is slightly random, almost art nouveau in execution. i am not sure if you aim to create a surrealist creation, but this looks like Dalí dropped acid with Moore, then they discovered a cache of random Lego. which to be fair could be considered a interesting scenerio. maybe unforseen, but perhaps you have real potential to push artistic boundaries. let the artistic muse take you, throw caution to the wind, just build, and just imagine
  2. i willl add my so called words of wisdom, and whilst i appreciate your enthusiaism, your execution is somewhat lacking. dont take this the wrong way, but, this seems slightly thrown togethor. the 1x8 red technic brick destroys any aesthetic value in the piece. maybe you could try to replace the bley baseplate with a more 'jungle' coloured one. green or tan, then maximise your foliage, the concept of the 'amazon', should really include much foliage, far mare than a small tree, and a handfull of organic pieces. your water fearure is somewhat interesting, but is far to 'square', dont make the water as a 12x32 block, attempt to simulate the organic curves of a a natural water source. instead of an epic river, you create a resevoir. your temple is intersting, although slightly raiinbow coloured.
  3. this is quite interesting. a very enjoyable concept, with relatively good execution. i would suggest that the visor might have been closed, as it looks open in your shot. your photoshop edits do not come across as particulary clean, but that is a mere technical hitch. a very enjoyable aesthetic concept which has generally being executed to a reasonable standard.
  4. this is somewhat sparse in detail or execution. although i would accept that you aim to complete a series of work, which considered as a complete body may well add up to more than the sum of its parts, so maybe this might limit your potential within each scence. but i would also argue that to engage with a work of this nature, then a certain degree of forward planning might be advocated.
  5. given the so called age of information we live in, then for sure, it is a difficult issue when it comes to the subject of forum moderation. we have to engage with diverse perspective, whilst embracing a certain degree of healthy debate. the worst case scenario would be a clique of gloating self congratulation which, from the outsiders position, would seem to be little more than a few virtual friends consistently praising each other for medicore attempts at artistic creativity. but given the medium we work in, a 'toy', then a certain level of moderaration is to be welcomed. a site aimed at the AFOL, should be well equipped to deal with the primary market of Lego. to degenerate into comments of 'AWZEMNOUZNEZZ', would be futile. but also we have to accept as Adults, a certain degree of critical evalulation and debate. for instance, recently we have the Collectable MiniFig debate. certain members raised the point that these would be of an inferior quality. a consensus was reached among the moderators that discussion about the percieved quality of this product was not welcome. this being one of the most highly regarded AFOL forums. it turns out this product is not of a high quality. perhaps not as bad as some would have predicted. but these MiniFig are not the same quality as you might find in a standard set. so debate and arguement, in this example, was more than justified. but perhaps these views were not to be contended in this forum.
