Thanks to you all. Backside actually is an evolution of the front porch of one of my first MOC. Lots of tan in my next creation too

Well, like Lego-Maniac said, except a circular stair, there's sadly no interior. I'm not too good with interiors

B-OM-11B & B-OM-11C I'm a great fan of Marcos Bessa's Villa Maison and his work inspired me this modular house. Building round castle tower- need idea or suggestion
tiammath replied to Lego Otaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hello, I tried to reproduce Steve's wonderful technic, used for the ComicCon Castle (see here) Here's the result (ok, all grey is not so nice, I focused on the technic) : And the LXF file. -
AudoBrick : Manage your collection
tiammath replied to Audosoft's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
The 4000 pieces limit in the evaluation version is a bit annoying. I actually wanted to test the function that allows you to see what are the feasable sets with your brick collection (mine is not that big but is +45000 bricks). And its not possible with the limit. Another point, I think $37 is too expensive with Brickset being free. -
In the MOC LXF Index you'll find one of Alienwar9's LDD city section with several buildings.

Building circular stairs in LDD
tiammath replied to alan_muhl's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Well, yeah. Just noticed there's actually a little problem with the last step. But, since it's the last step it could be linked to the center pillar instead of the other steps, so we can get rid of the little gap. -

@Calabar Managed to link each step to each other, in your MOD. Here the modified LXF file -
Building circular stairs in LDD
tiammath replied to alan_muhl's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
No, I didn't measure it. Here's one that is 180°, but with 10 steps. And another one with 9 steps. Note : I see only 8 steps on the original stairs. Are each step 2 plates high ? -

Yeah, I already spent much time on it and wasn't able find a way to keep the steps connected to round bricks in the middle. Here's my lastest creation. Which is not as close as I hoped, but it's not so bad. -

Like Aanchir said, you have this one : Or, this one. But stairs are linked to the walls and not the round center. -

I've never had any problem rotating bricks while builind round stairs, and I've build many of them (see below for a couple examples). -
Building round castle tower- need idea or suggestion
tiammath replied to Lego Otaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I've tried several ways to make round towers in LDD. The 1x2 brick and 1x1 round brick method is probably the most common one to build them. LDD can be very annoying when building such towers but it's possible (see below). I also made one with the 1x3 brick but I can't find the lxf. I tried other methods. The one with hinge plates is easy and you can make some nice builds. -
Help with headlight brick pattern
tiammath replied to tiammath's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Well, I intend to use the pattern as the floor of my new MOD, like this : But I wasn't totally happy with the one in the image so I'm looking for other patterns I could use. What kind of bar could I use to fill the gap ? -

LDD Prevents valid assembly
tiammath replied to Nicolas's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Can we say "If I can do it in LDD, then it is legal" ? I mean, without editing the LXF, of course. -
