As im building up my town I realize I need a few road-plates. Looking at lego.com the road-plates for sale seem to be always backordered and for every straight road I want, I need to buy a curved one? How does that make any sense? They are also a tad expensive in my humble opinion. Anyways I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or could point me in a direction to buy road-plates. Thanks so much. Im looking for the road-plates that look like this.

Yea I am, but not intentionally. I was usually a Town/City collector but just a few months ago a friend of mine gave me 6292 Enchanted Island for free. It was in mint condition and had all the pieces. After building it I decided to get back into Lego after a long hiatus. Having the beautiful 6292 set all looking pretty and built I decided to make my towns theme of an modern encroachment onto a native settlement. So I have started collecting houses, and then infrastructure will pop in as the town grows. Im also quite excited for the new train sets. Will definitely have to get those sets. The native Islanders wont be to happy about the freight or passenger trains!

Im kind of impartial to this set. To me I would buy some elements of this set, but not all of it. I like the bus and the street cleaner. I do like the tram but I would have to see how it works before purchasing. To me this set seems like a mish mash of parts that is less than the sum of its parts. Ill be saving my money for the two new trains that were announced and HOPEFULLY modular police station and hospital.

Thanks for the amazing welcome. Also much thanks for changing the forum format for me. That was annoying. Bricklink is an ideal place. Are most of the sellers there legit? Some of them have really outdated FAQ's and Shipping info. I really would like to get my hands on 7905 Building Crane and 4954 Model House. We shall see what happens. So many lego sets... But in the meantime I walked into my local toys r' us today and saw 30009 Christmas tree on for $2. Couldnt resist!

After some years of a lego hiatus I bought a set a couple of months ago on a whim and am now back into it. Have to say that im sad I missed some good years of lego... wanting some sets discontinued is a pricey venture! Anyways im mostly into City Lego (As im reconstructing my town) but I love the modular, and creator sets. Even some pirate, castle and space sets. Glad to be back. I look forward to seeing your creations and in time you seeing mine. On a side note... whats with the forum lay out. When I click on a topic why cant I see all the posts at the same time? I have to click on each individually. Is there a way to change that? Thanks

Hey. Im new to the forums but I love your town. As for trees I think all of the above! I like variety. I just have a question. With the model town house what happened to the garage? And as a suggestion maybe add some more "hustle bustle" to your town. It seems very quaint. Maybe thats your style. I would suggest moving your town closer together. Just my two cents
