Yay! Figured it out from extended plans. The rear axle config & attachement thereof to the engine had to be guessed though because the plans stopped short of this? Engine Cheers, Andy

I have in the loft somewhere an orignal Technic set, the '956 - Auto Chassis'. I'm going to dig it out & build it with my kids after I've scraped together all the bits and ordered replacement parts for some broken pieces. Relive my childhood memories through my kids kind of thing! Now I seem to remember something about this kit and a google image search reminded me: The instructions clearly shows how to build the 'Auto Chasis' model itself as one would expect. However on the box there were pictures of other models too: There was a Jeep, a Dragster, a Lathe, a Scissor Lift and a Truck Cab. Now I don't think that there was any actual instructions to build these additional models - much (if memory recalls) to my frustration at the time - all be it over 27 years ago now! So, question time: Do instructions actually exist for these extra models, or was one expected to figure them out??? If plans do exist, does anyone know where can I get hold of them please! Hello! My name is... ..Earl? No, actually it's Andy. 40yr old former Lego obsessive (when I was 12-13). First 'proper' set was the Technic '851 - Farm Tractor' followed by the one I remember the most... the '956 - Auto Chassis'. (boy oh BOY did my chubby little chops light up on my 13th birthday when I unwrapped that pressie ) Now married with 2 daughters who are now discovering the fun of Lego.... Hi y'all. When I was a kid (here we go...), I was the proud owner & builder of the Lego Techic sets: 'Auto Chasis' (956) and 'Farm Tractor' (851). I am now 40 years old (ahem) and those kits have been relegated to my mother's loft for the past 30 years. My two daughters, aged 6 and 7 1/2 have now discovered the wonderful world of Lego! I would love to sit down with them and build these two kits with them but I know some of the pieces are broken (e.g. there were red coloured long thin beams with holes in that I know got trodden on & snapped etc). So my question is two-fold: 1) Can Lego bricks be repaired? If so how and once repaired, can they be used? Will they be strong enough? 2) If not, where can I get replacement Lego parts from (I live in the UK)? These kits were first introduced in 1977, so that's going back quite a bit unfortunately!
