"The Eurobricks X-Mas Star Wars Photography Contest 2011" It's time to flash your skills at photography! The what's and how's: Create a Star Wars themed scene using 1 or more minifigs. The scene can be serious, sad, funny or anything you'd like it to be. The scene can be from a Star Wars movie, animated series, cartoon, computer game or entirely made up. It's all about that little "xtra" to the picture - the combination of setup and title that makes you giggle or go "Ooooooh!" Pictures have to be new - no old stuff! Extra points for good lighting & composition! Entries are to be posted within "Watto's Junkyard" and have "Photography Contest Entry" as subtitle. No more than 1 picture with a max size of 800x600 pixels. Link to folder with more pics is allowed Please add the pics to the "Eurobricks Star Wars Forum Contest Pool" on flickr. Entries are to be posted between 23rd and 31st of December - no sooner or later. Only one entry per member. The prizes will be: 1st place: White Boba Fett Minifig (polybag) + EB Stormtrooper [LINK] 2nd place: Chrome Darth Vader (polybag) 3rd place: Chrome Stormtrooper (polybag) Unlike our usual contests there will be no vote in this one. We've got judges this time - Smokebelch and Fenris have agreed to judge the entries. For inspiration - look in the LEGO Star Wars Photography topic or the LEGO Star Wars Photography Pool.

No news in rumors on a Pod Racer and a MF. We've known those for a while now. More new molds for heads sounds awesome. I do hope we get a Darth Maul with horns. What don't you want to become an epidemic? That we're not all native speakers of English or perfect spelling dictionaries?

Mkay - final warning. Skip talking about prices and availability. The rest of the world couldn't care less wether or not a set is available in Vancouver. Keep such comments to the "Star Wars Sets Anyone?"-topic. A topic we've got solely to discuss prices and availability. Keep it there and keep this as a discussion on sets and pictures please. No more warnings!

I actually think this set is below average. The turret, heavy gun and speeder are all poorly designed - even when considering that a BP always has a very limited amount of bricks, it's still poor. Just compare them to the speeder in the Clone BP... The mandos are also poor - no print on the back of the torsos Extremely hideous face prints The jet pack makes the mandos look stretched - the millimeter added around the neck looks really odd when the helmet also lacks a millimeter or two to reach the shoulders As much as I love mandalorians, it just can't beat the fact that this BP isn't anywhere close to being any good. I'd rather spend the money on mandalorian decals and custom helmets. Sorry, but that's just the way I feel about this one. As for the review: I suggest you download paint.net and irfanview to help you processing your shots. Also remember to consider the focus - the image with 2 half polybags and a quarter of a manual are of no real use to the rest of us.

Great job on finding those 2 in LEGO's cache - now who's looking for the high resolution versions?

Yeah, there's an obvious difference, but I always consider the model difference on the following basis: It's a LEGO model and should be considered as such. It's meant for play and that may influence on the final design. I'd love to have a "real" model of the Republic Cruiser, but that doesn't mean I can't live with or accept the design that TLG ended up with. I stand by the comment that this is one of the greatest LSW sets ever made - in accordance with the above reasons.

Really? I must have missed that because of all the chit chat. Guys stick to set discussion and rumors in this topic. STOP YAGGIN' ABOUT AVAILABILITY!! We've got a topic on set availability - keep this clean please. I'm rather sure an Asian could care less wether or not sets are available in the US or UK. Keep it Real

Could it be that SE's (Special Editions) aren't released until February-March?

If that windmill is true and if it even gets goats and chicken, then wow I hope this will come true. Plus lots of other Castle sets - we need more men and equipment
