Nightstalker Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Thanks to some helpful advice, Djun and Lukan managed to find a place to stay to avoid the coming snow storm. -------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!! Quote
-Horizon- Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Nice build Nightstalker. Though I'd recommend using one of these between the two windows to fill the gap. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Great build! Nice sloped roof. I do agree about the gaps round the windows though. Quote
Godtshep Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) That's a good build. I like it. do agree about the window gap though; even though the gap doesn't look that bad. Edited June 26, 2014 by Godtshep Quote
Maxim I Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 You managed to give us an idea how the whole house looks like! Very nice job Nightstalker :) Quote

Unfortunately, I don't have that piece in reddish brown or dark brown for that matter. I'm still very limited on pieces. Quote
Mike S Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Nice build! And I wouldn't really worry about the gaps as I've seen other "expert" builders do it quite a bit without getting any negativity... Quote
Gabe Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Wow, that's a high ceiling, looks like Djun and Lukan are staying somewhere fancy! I wouldn't worry too much about the gaps at the window, i dare say they wouldn't have been noticed except for that first shot, where you really can't miss them. I get the feeling you could make a workaround to cover them (headlights and cheese perhaps, or even as simple as plates or tiles at the back of the wall) if they bugged you though. Something i would suggest though is selling the story a little better - maybe have the characters sitting on a bench inside the main door, taking off their wet outer layers or being greeted by their host. -Carson Haupt- Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 This is nice! You're really developing as a builder. Quote
Gideon Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Nice interior work, I don't think that the gaps around the windows is a problem except maybe in the first picture. What bothers me a little however is that we get to see almost the whole build but not all. Cropped closeups are perfectly fine if you ask me but if you are showing the whole build, make sure to show all of it in the picture. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Excellent woodwork and I really like the rat in the rafters Nice inclusion of the Mitgardian colors in the floor too Quote
MassEditor Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Some nice details here, a very pleasant little build. There are some nice architectural techniques, like the support beams and the ceiling (what a great idea for an inside build!). I agree that the lack of window arches is barely a problem. Gabe mentioned some great workarounds, which is really handy if you're working with colors and the arch pieces are either rare or none-existent. I think what I like most about this build is how you could basically replicate this MOC several times and have a really cool sprawling indoor scene. Quote
