DraikNova Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Well, of all the Toa Heroes (did I just quote Matau?) you've built, this one seems the most accurate to the original character. You've even kept that "hunchbacked" look . Quote
pocketmego Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 He's my all time favorite Bionicle character and version of said character. I knew I wanted to get him as right as possible. Quote
zero1312 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I know it would look a bit bland, but I think the claws would look better in gunmetal than in orange. Otherwise nearly perfect recreation. Quote
pocketmego Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 I thought of that, actually. Honestly, I didn't have enough claws in gun metal...lol. Besides, it does add a splash of color, and being that I've since made them Quaza claws, they work. But, I might experiment if I get more gun metal claws. Quote
Cahillrebel Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Yea. I like the claw idea. I wish, however, there were trans green claws because those would make this moc more accurate. Hope we get some in the future if we don't have them already. Quote

Its times like this, I wish they hadn't killed the Hero Recon Team thing. Quote
zero1312 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 There are tr. green claws-Scarox, remember? Too bad he only has two pieces in the bag. Quote
Aanchir Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Very neat work. I definitely think you did a good job keeping faithful to the character. I think Titanium Metallic (gunmetal/dark silver) claws would be better than the Flame Yellowish Orange and Transparent Fluorescent Orange ones, but I understand you were probably working with a somewhat limited parts palette. I put together some similar BIONICLE-inspired Hero Factory models on LDD once for a potential Cuusoo project, but sadly I realized that the concept would be incredibly divisive and would not likely stand a chance of success. You can see my concept here. It's nothing special — just an attempt at re-creating the Toa Mata as accurately as possible with more modern parts. Quote

It's a fun idea and would be GREAT for a special anniversary set or something. Shame TLG is really unlikely to ever do anything like that. Quote
pocketmego Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 "Barry O'Nua". Nice pun . ;) Where's Makuta Nebula? LOL, you know. That's not bad. Quote
