MSFC: "My God, It's Full of Stars"

Recommended Posts

After watching 2001: A Space Odyssey to get reference for my FAP entry, I decided that I just had to give this a try too. I've really rushed it and my camera doesn't seem to be up to the job of taking a decent picture in the dark - but I think the Pod looks OK, and it's all good fun anyway...

I'll try to post a picture showing how it actually looks in daylight (very poor) and a reference image before the deadline.

Brilliant rendition, instantly recognizable.

But question - is that Jupiter? or Saturn?

Thanks Si-MOCs. Oh my, if you ask questions like that people will start to think you are a HUGE sci-fi nerd  . But judging by the colour, I'll say it's Europa.

Pictures updated but I still need to add daytime shot to show construction.

Nice work, very close to the real scene

Thank you.

your pod is realy good !

Thanks. I'm not 100% happy with it - I don't like the gap between the dishes at the side, but apart from sanding down the studs on the 3x3 Radars and connecting them with a light sabre blade through the middle, I can't think of a way round it :sceptic: . It's built purely to be viewed from the front and the rear is a mess, but I'm considering rebuilding it as a stand alone MOC after the contest. I think a white one of these could be used for the top.
