I'm not sure if this is technically classified as 'Conestoga'.

007 with a WW MOC *y*

and it looks good, especially the interior. i can't imagine going west and having all my belongings in one wagon like the pioneers did... all the LEGO bricks just wouldn't fit :-D

it's interesting that you chose a four sided cover for the wagon. it looks fine, but i get a feeling that the front and back flaps need to be secured by something. right now they look like they are floppin in the wind.

Lego, definitely one of life's most basic necessities. X-D

I felt it was mush more realistic with the 'canvas' drawn over the front and back, unlike the official WW cavalry wagon or whatever. In full scale the covering would be one large section of cloth pulled over the the framework an tied ovr the front and back, but with paper (yes, that's all it is, 8.5 x 11) one has to use three sheets. Although I scotch taped ( X-D ) the sides to the bigger cover on the inside in several places, so it doesn't move around that much. I'm happy with it. :-)

Thanks for the comments. *y*

My faviourite detail (of this nice MOC) is the use of the musket instead of the rifle. It really sets the era nicely!

God Bless,

Nice little moc you have there! Nice details..

You could have cut the fabrik of one piece..you know what I mean? Then attach it with rope etc.

That's a great creation. I like the figure and all the junk in the wagon, but I am especially fond of the hitching.

Though wouldn't oxen be more accurate? Pity Lego hasn't made those yet...

thats a nice wagon you made there! Well done. It really has a western feel to it. i like all the necessities you put in the wagon.

Maybe you could use some (lego) rope to attach the front and back to the main flap....haha i hope you understand what i mean. :-D

Maybe make a couple of holes in the front, bank and main flap and put some wire/rope through them...somethin like that?

Anyway don't mind my babbeling bs, haha, i think the wagon looks very nice. *y*

Really good wagon 007! I like the supplies in the wagon! I also really like how the musket is resting on his lap and the minifig.

Yes, integrating some official Lego rope would have been a cool addition to include at the time I built this. However, in recent times I've found a much better solution for the canvas covering than the one I used here. Check it out - http://www.flickr.com/photos/legozilla/2245978010/

Thank you very much, Mr. Kaboom! I am curious; have you been browsing through the western index or did you find this thread through other means?

Nice, but I would have used an Indy fedora... Nice job though! X-D

Not if you had built this back in the year 2006 as I did. ;-) I appreciate the feedback anyways, thanks.
