Henrik Ludvigsen Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) May I ask what you need it for? Yes, off course you may. On the 11-05-2013 the Danish LUG and myself will make a Guinness record attempt for the longest toy train track. The current record is 2,221.81 meters. We will make more than 3.000 meters (made entirely of the old blue tracks). At the show we will presenting every train and wagon LEGO ever released. We are almost complete. We are (right now) missing this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=24-1 We have all the other. So - please help.......... Regards Henrik Edited October 15, 2012 by Henrik Ludvigsen Quote

To get a second one, you may have to buy a set like 21-2 but that's expensive. I'd probably just make something that looks similar but costs much less money. PS. After the record, are you going to put some of that blue track back on bricklink? Edited October 15, 2012 by hoeij Quote

roamingstop Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Do people really want blue and white train track? Is there really a need? I will be donating over 500 straight and 500 curved pieces (unfortunately not enough white plates). I too had thought I would build a blue and white layout. For 3 years I thought about it. And for 3 years I did nothing until I realised I never would build anything and actually having the track used for a better cause would be much nicer. There is still a lot of blue track on Bricklink; but it does depend upon how much you want it for... Quote

However, 12V blue track (including the remote controlled switches) is a lot cheaper than 12V grey track. Quote
peterab Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Do people really want blue and white train track? Is there really a need? I have a reasonable collection of it as, for me, it's the era I grew up with. The newer sets are cool, but the real nostalgia of LEGO is sparked by the late 60's and 70's stuff. Every now and then I get it out and set up the track on the floor :-) Quote
