Lasse Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I build this MOC together with my mother. Since the middle of August our MOC has been exhibit at the LUG showcase in LEGO Store Copenhagen. The MOC is inspired by the 50 year anniversary of Strøget. More pictures can be found here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=507750 Quote
Minifig_Matt Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Wow Lasse this looks really good. I love the neatness and attention to detail, especially how the building facades flow nicely between each other. Good to see the human side with the different Minifigs going about their days. The police officer trying to arrest the man swimming in the fountain is a nice touch. Is this based on the way Stroget looks in real life, if so can you post a pic of it so we can see? It looks like a beautiful city. I also checked out some o your other work! Very nice. -Matt Quote
Runamuck Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Very, very nice. Neat how you also made a metro station underground. Storkespringvandet is easy to recognize. I know it has been a while since I last was I Copenhagen, but isn’t the LEGO store actually a bit further down the street from the fountain? I’m just joking, great MOC Quote

Multiverse Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Oh! I saw that a couple of weeks ago when I was there! You build that? =D It's a genuine masterpiece. It seems madly unfair that you're my age and able to build this - but what a good thing you are! =) Quote
Kristel Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 You've packed a lot of nice details into this MOC and the minifigs going about their daily business really brings it to live. Well done! Quote

The Blue Brick Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Amazing! The details are perfect and add liveliness to the scene. Quote
L@go Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I've only been to Strøget twice (both last year) but from what I can remember you seem to have caught the essence of the street quite perfectly. The fountain and all those funny details are great, and I very much like the metro entrance, although in real life the nearest metro station to the LEGO Store is much further away, right? I seem to remember that I had to walk for 5-10 minutes to get there :) Quote
