I don't feel good about any of the votes today and there certainly have been enough different ones. I was leaning towards Paul Petey early on, but since then, other people have popped up as suspicious enough to make me uncertain where to put my vote. Voting at this point would either be joining the bandwagon or further splitting the votes, neither of which is really helpful.

Tomorrow should be a completely different story since the results of the decision today will give us plenty to look back on. I hope that whatever decision comes out of today is the right one, and I don't want any confusion on this matter, I take as much responsibility for not voting as I would expect anyone to take for voting since we're all in this together, I just don't feel strongly enough to make that decision right now.

Because it would be retarded for the whole scum team to support a fellow scum in trouble. It only makes them targets/suspicious in turn. Scum tend to spread out among the innocent and rarely associate with each other, so to rely on them for help is a very risky business, which leaves them fending for themselves or reaching out to other folks (or taking that very big risk). Also, you said you received a message from Petey, too, so I don't see how you'd be exempt from your own logic (looking from a perspective that is not your own).

Sorry that I dropped off from the map, I was busy painting (IRL stuff) and reflecting over the events of the day, after which I can draw up a clearer defense.

I still find Petey's behaviour odd; he actually initially responded to Ernie saying he found his behaviour "presumptive" and "possibly downright evil". It was only after Pennie pointed out that it was a joke (and I find it hard to believe Petey didn't see that) that he began to insist it was the poor taste of the joke he took exception to. The ungenerous amongst us could even entertain the idea that Petey was gently casting suspicion on Ernie and swiftly backtracked when someone actually pointed it out. Following that, Petey's reaction was noted by a good number of furries to be 'odd', 'off', 'suspicious' etc.

I think this is a good summary of what's happened the last 60 hours but not really useful. Unless I'm missing something.

Gordon and Pennie seemed to latch onto the incongruity of Petey's reaction at around the same time, so I don't see one as defending the other. .... There was no threat, so why panic? And why them? I know Petey has attempted to explain, but that explanation doesn't sit well.

This is the main problem when people are accused of anything because anything we say just gets the "well that doesn't sit well" or "of course you'll say that so you don't seem scummy". There is no winning in a situation like that. I'm not panicking, I'm not giving up, I'm just stating a fact.

I agree that I doubt Casey is scum if Petey is too. I doubt Pennie and Gordon are scum even more, but if Petey rolls up town then they both warrant looking at extremely closely tomorrow. Despite his earlier paranoia, actually, as a direct result of his earlier paranoia, Petey now finds himself at the centre of this whole debacle, and in my eyes is the best candidate for a lynch. We get good info no matter what Petey flips, which can't be said for the other candidates.

I'm not scum, so I think you will be back to square one on the Petey/Casey issue in the morning. I dunno what to say. Paranoia? Yes, that's how I am. LIke I've said a bunch of times already. I still hope that at least the town can use the info after I'm gone and make some real observations and catch these scum. If Casey is scum, then he is the most clever person here for backing a soon-to-be-confirmed townie like myself.

Anyway, responding to the above, you contacted two people, one of whom had been pushing you and one who'd given a soundly neutral response, and told them... just that you didn't want to die? You've already told us all here, and presumably none of us want to die? None of the rest of us are "reasonable/able to look at information rationally"? And you only wanted to tell these scions of reasonableness that you didn't want to die?

Well based on the score I saw when I got home and the fact that at least half the town is already asleep - it's not looking good for lil' ol' me.

No at the time I decided to contact those folks, everyone else was being non-commenty or attacking me. They are the only two I thought might listen without coming back to attack me immediately.

I don't understand how some of you can already label certain people as "passive", "quiet" and "under-the-radar"? It's only the first day of this ordeal, people can't have anything much to say! And knowing that one's every word is likely to be dissected at some point (first day discussions even being used as evidence at a much later date), I don't blame anyone for not wanting to speak just for the sake of speaking.

Just the same way anyone can say me being upset is "scummy" or "weird". It's all ridiculous panicked reactionary crap and I suggest everyone look at the people who started this lynch because you will see there is at least one scum. Mark my words. You'll all feel pretty silly in the morning when you see the results

The Panda has been consistantly unhelpful, and I think animals are right, we learn quite a bit from lynching him... I will therefore switch my vote, as I won't have another chance.

Like I said before, once accused there is nothing the accused can say that's "right". I've been more than helpful, answering all questions and issues brought up.

I'm not very comfortable with this, but it would teach us a great deal about a few of the other people that are voting.

Well, looks like almost everyone is asleep. Hopefully you all will find some real info tonight and tomorrow and start working as a team instead of a bunch of paranoid fluff puffs.

As promised earlier, here's my list of suspicious people. Since I don't have anyone to trust, I'll just let everyone have the info. Sorry town, but now you'll have to fight the scum knowing what was scummy about themselves.

• Becka Bulldog (Rick) - Comes in late, quotes a lot of people, says nothing much though. Non-commiting to a vote until its becoming a bandwagon.
  
• Brigit Bunny (Sandy) - Nothing helpful at all, lots of "go town" but just enough visibility to not be invisible, and this after it was brought up that the bunny family was quiet.
  
• Cameron Crocodile (Rufus) - Again, lots of typing but no substance. Not the first to vote me, but not the last.
  
• Casey Cat (Scouty) - Casey tried to help, but when I think about it, did she? Why would she say I contacted her? I never asked her to publicly defend me. Once I'm dead and come up town, she will look like a good samaritan.
  
• Gordon Gorilla (scubaradish) - Started the whole thing. One gentle prod and he knew I'd freak out (it's just what I do). Wasn't the first one to vote for me, wasn't the last to jump on the bandwagon. He even got a little wishy-washy in his posts.
  

Those are my top suspects. Town - please be careful, please keep an eye on them, and please save us all.

Pennie Pig - Oh my dear Pennie. You have been used by the scum. This is what I beleive. You were set up to set me up. You should really be more careful in the future because just being nervous does not make one scum. If you turn out to be evil, I will be shocked and I can eat some crow pie for being wrong.

All in all, I do agree with the lynchers who say we can learn something from my death. We'll just see what you all do with that information. Am I giving up? Well, I'm not going to waste my time arguing in vain at this point - I've got about two hours left and most of you are asleep. If I do somehow survive by some miracle, I look forward to talking to you tomorrow!

I am not very comfortable to vote in Day 1, but in order to progress and not to spilt the votes any further, I strongly believe that we, the townies must stand on an united front. Thus, to prevent further spilting of the votes, I will stand by the current majority. I will also stand-by to unvote, if necessary.

I believe it was Becka Bulldog who initially brought up the point that we could learn the most from Petey's death (perhaps why Petey voted for Becka?) rather than the other suspect animals, which seemed logical at the time, enough for several others to agree with and re-state. And it was for those reasons that I planned to cast my vote against Petey. However, Petey's seeming final thoughts on who he deems suspicious and why cast doubt in my mind. If Petey turns up town tomorrow, then this is definitely something to look at. And hey, if he turns up scum then it's something to look at still.

For the sake of learning (and my fear that something awful will happen if I don't vote - like a crow visit or something...), I shall

The sun is setting and the Village has decided to lynch Petey Panda (darkdragon). Everyone gathers in the Village Square surrounding Petey Panda as he sits on the river bank next to a tub of tasty fish he caught just for his friends...who have just killed him. Mindy Mouse eyes her friends in the tub.

"Marcellus hasn't built any gallows. How are we supposed to lynch him?" Someone complains.

"We could beat him with a blunt object," someone offers.

"Or maybe we could suffocate him with something," another someone suggest. "We have a sheep. A sheep could suffocate."

"We all know the legend of Azufre," the local legend expert offers. "They tied a rock to all the suspects and pushed them in the river. They were all witches in the end. Except for that handsome Henry."

Suddenly Petey stands up and screams, "All I did was say that lynching was sad! And then I asked my friends for help! Why is that so wrong? Somebody help me!"

"He's asking for help again," somebody whispers. "Knock him on the head and push him in the river."

"I just knew you would all do this to me!" Petey continues. "I wasn't acting weird! Why me? I don't want to die! I'm not a poor player, I make plenty of money! Who will catch fish for you when I'm gone?"

"Um, me." Edgar says.

"You're all just jealous of my sexy panda body!!" Petey screams, "A dick is a dick. I'm just paranoid and sensitive and careful and sad and sensitive!"

"There there now, Petey," Firuz Fox says as he works his way through the crowd. "Your friend needs comfort during this trying time."

"You just relax. Have a comforting cup of cocoa." Firuz says, gently.

"Oh thank you, Firuz," Petey Panda says. "Sorry I freaked out. I'm calm now. I'm just so sad. I'm going to miss playing with all of my friends. That's what suck about these games...of life. I can't stand to see us standing around lynching each other."

Shawna Sheep tries to be re-assuring. "At least you don't have to see anybody be lynched," She offers. "That's something, isn't it Paul?"

"Aw, poor sad penguin," Carly adds.

"I'm not a penguin and my name's not Paul," Petey Panda yells. "My name is Petey Pan..."

And then he abruptly stops and goes rigid.

"Petey Pan?" Someone asks, "The boy who never grew up? That's you??"

Petey Panda falls limp into the river and floats downstream.

"Is he dead?" Marcellus the Monk asks. "Firuz, did you poison him?"

"Someone had to do something," Firuz answers. "You all would've been here discussing how to kill him until morning..."
