Hey :classic:

Few weeks ago I started build on this project. This will be clasic fire truck wiht working watergun on top and one small "high pressure" hose on back.

Truck will be full remote control (drive, steering and working watergun on top). Chassis is finish and now buld cab-front mask. Truck have full suspension and 4x4 drive with differential. :classic:

This is first video of this truck:

New picture coming soon.

@timslegos

Pictures on Bs?

I'm not yet put pictures on Bs.

For hose I will use 2 Lego mini pneumatic pump (I already tested and work). :classic:

Inside this white barrel will be 2 (now 1) water pump-Lego pneumatic pump (x191c01)-from unimog set. :classic:

Video will come when I will get another pump

Could I make a suggestion? It may be a good idea to cover the water tank with a plastic bag; that way, if the truck falls over for some reason, you won't get water inside your Power Functions.

Thank you for the video! I finally understand! And you dont have to worry because the pumps are fully plastic correct?

What happens if you choose to use an up-gearing instead of two of the same gears. Do you have more water pressure then or do you experience a decrease?

It should be worth a shot because a lot of fire trucks have the hose on top of the verhicle. Thus more distance is needed for the water to travel to a actual fire.

Do you know the distance that the water will travel once the model is done?

BUT after seeing the video I think this is something TLC could take in consideration for a new flagship model. It only needs 1 new part (the water tank), and you're done!

I wouldn't mind chasing after the cats with this bad boy! xD

Thinking about the water tank and electronics safety: You could use a cap with a rubber band. Children's bottles do this all the time.

Same goes for safeguarding your hoses. Rubber band around it and making sure it doesn't leak too much. I also think the cap should have three holes.

One for the actual spraying hose, one to fill it, and one air-outlet, because pressure builds when you want to fill it, so that needs to go somewhere.

All three should have pneumatic hoses in them so that you don't have to open up the truck to fill it. But then again you need to know how much water is in there :p

Real fire trucks with water gun on top usually have a big water tank, because pump for this gun have power 2,500l/min+. :hmpf_bad:

These two pump don't have enough power, for high pressure, distance is only ~20 cm, for normal pressure would need minimum 4 pump

Today i'm get one new idea, but for that i need 3 pump-water air pump. More about that, when will be completed. :sweet:

Tank is a big problem, maybe i will change.

The way you construct the pump's is important,You may want to try my design,in order to improve the pump rate.

I wonder how much pressure you can create when you let THAT run like crazy! Is this even possible?

I mean the compressor pumps do have a maximum they can be pulled out, seems liky you're hugging the limit there.

It would be nice if this works. With proper gearing you can produce some serious pressure.

i think he had only 1 new compressor part and 1 old

He was still waiting for an order to come
