Big Sal Posted May 26, 2012 Made a few months ago, this is my first decent attempt at an MOC since I came out of my dark ages. I dissasembled 6989 Mega Core Magnetizer, 6928 Particle Ionizer, 6877 Vector Detector, 6896 Celestial Forager and 6833 Beacon Tracer (all of which I'd recently bought on eBay) into a big pile and started building! Some pics of the main outpost: The crane, for loading and unloading from the dump trucks: The control centre: Close up on one of the gate turrets: None shall pass! One of the two identical dump trucks: A spaceship: A little refuelling vehicle built out of cool leftover pieces: And a shot of everything together: Any comments would be greatly appreciated (even if it's on the layout of the post rather than the model - I'm new here! )
DraikNova Posted May 26, 2012 (edited) Great work, better than some other M-tron MOCs I've seen, and overall, well done, both on the post and this superb MOC! PS: Can I see a closeup of that mini-bot on the grate in the back please? Edited May 26, 2012 by DraikNova
Big Sal Posted May 26, 2012 Thanks! The minibot is just the one from Particle Ionizer (http://www.brickset.com/minifigs/?m=sp083) - I can put a close up if you really want, but can't take credit for it!
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted May 26, 2012 Wow! This is great! You're very skillful, considering how you transformed those sets into this awesome outpost! I do feel that the M-tron line of sets should have included an outpost (as well as all the other Space themes that didn't), so I'm glad to see yours, especially since I would say that it's up to Lego's design standards! Kudos, and thanks for sharing!
Vindicare Posted May 26, 2012 Not bad for your first go at MOCing. I LOVED M-Tron as a kid, I would like to get some old Space stuff again. I like all the vehicles made. The spaceship looks really good, and fits with the official M-Tron sets pretty well.

soccerkid6 Posted May 27, 2012 Nice job making a MOC in the same style as the theme! I like the control center, the big green windshield works nicely there The tires for the pillars of the outpost arr great! Nice work
Si-MOCs Posted May 27, 2012 Nice MOC! I like how much you were able to do with just a handful of sets! Using the wheels as pillars I thought was particularly inventive. Call me a sucker for movie references, but the None Shall Pass laser turrets was my favourite part. And the little buggy with the dumpster in the back was nifty too! Though poor M-Tron guys... you couldn't build them an Air Lock for they hang out without their suits on?
