Warspite03 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 So after weeks of waiting for parts, I got started on this ship. It has taken me at least 7 attempts to put something together that I don't completely abhor. I don't have enough hinge plates for the "tumblehome," and so it doesn't have one. I have been using Captain Green Hair's frigate tutorial as a guide as well as various pictures. This is what I've cobbled together so far, but I'm still not quite satisfied with it and I'm looking for some feedback and advice from you serious shipwrights! I think one of the problems is with the gun deck. And I have no idea what the stern and prow will look like. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Quote
Sebeus I Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 You don't have to use the exact same hinge plates as in Captain Greenhair's tutoral, there are many alternatives. Car roof plates for example or clip plates or hinge bricks, anything you can use as a hinge Quote
Hiawatha Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I think your stern is looking very good so far. Quote
Captainmorgan Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 So far this is a great looking ship. Can't wait to see more! Quote
Frank Brick Wright Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 This quite a nice ship! Perhaps the curve at the bow is somewhat weird but besides that there is no great criticism to do. Will she be having an interior? Quote
Warspite03 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 She won't be having much of an interior besides the cabin. Thanks for the comments! Quote
