Sup? My latest MOC is this ridiculous Bosozoku styled car:

Its 5 wide, big wings, crazy colors and big obnoxious exhaust pipes styled like the classic rebellious Kaido racers and Bosozoku cars in Japan.

I'll probably make changes to it here and there, but for now, this is how it looks:

That's a very original concept and a cool recreation. Even though, naturally, the whole idea is quite cringeworthy, but you've somehow managed to actually make it look kinda cute (perhaps it's the nerdy driver / owner?). I'm especially fond of the too-flat-for-its-own-good front end, I think it's absolutely fabulous, although to be honest I'm not too sure about the rear end - it just looks a tad vain, but then again that might be the way the original model looks as well...

To big? Nonsense, nothing is to big for Bosozoku!

just look at the rear on this bad boy:

The spoiler is huge and the exhaust pipes are just short enough to fit under highway signs.

Nope, I wasn't saying it looks big, the size is spot on I guess; I just felt all the trans-red didn't do it justice. I might be wrong though :sweet:

I think you nailed the recreation of the car very well.

I am curious what the point of the front flat piece is on those cars, just for a crazy design?

The spoilers are based off of old Group 5 race cars Group 5 was the "unlimited aero" touring car class.

Back in the 1970's and 80's Japanese Bosozoku gangs began to modify their cars after the group 5 racers as a way to rebel against Japanese strict cultural practices.

Essentially the Boso cars of today are just a "look at me, I'm a rebel" kind of thing, the louder more obnoxious the bodies, the more rebellious you are without technically breaking any law. Bosozoku just took the Group 5 aero to a whole new level.

Yo dawg! That shiz is mad tyte!

Ugh, so many red squiggles up there... You really captured that weirdness that is Bosozoku. I think, though, the color is a bit plain for Boso cars.

It looks absolutely ridiculous and completely unrealistic. But so do the originals :) good job on getting this so right!

Oh man, I've found my new favorite kind of car in the world. A custom car movement dedicated solely to be as obnoxious as possible? WINNER! Just look how rebellious those cars look parked with complete disregard for the white lines!

Cool MOC, even the colors are annoying haha!

this brought a big smile to my face as i can remember seeing a one of these cars when i was in Japan and thought what the hells going on here!?

Awesome build, I'd love to see more!

Ah, yes, the Bousouzoku (暴走族), I remember them well from my time in Japan. The term means "Violent Running Tribe", and is rather apt. The Yokosuka Bousouzoku, or Bozos as me and my fellow sailors called them, were our arch enemies when on shore patrol duty, mainly due to the fact that they weren't all that concerned about pedestrian safety or knowledgeable about what a crosswalk was. :hmpf_bad:

That said, I must say that, aside from the absolutely ridiculous front air-dams on most of them, I kinda dig the look. Kinda reminds me of a Pontiac GTO for some reason.

You did a great job capturing the wild look with your creation, too!

Awesome recreation, I like it very much. I think you absolutely nailed the strange character of this kind of cars.

I especially love the very low stance and the combination of those mudguards with smaller wheels than usual. It gives the whole thing quite a different look. Those exhausts are great, and I also dig the color combo. It may be unusual, too, but this is what we like to see, isn't it?
