Legostein Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Hello everybody! From my ongoing series of space set miniaturisations (see About Me for a summary), I'd like to share the newest micro set with you. This time it's the open cockpit X1 Patrol Craft (set 6861) from the year 1980. The missing of a canpoy, however, gives us the possibility to have extra fun with the new microfigures... Thanks for stepping by! Have a good start into the new week, ~ Christopher Quote
-zenn Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Lovely micro rendition. The logo on his chest is a nice touch. Quote
Galaxyconquest01 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Great job. I am getting more and more into the mini ships. I might have to make my own virsion ;) Quote
Legostein Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Hello, thank you for the comments! Maybe I should choose some more recent sets as object for minimisation in future... Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Galaxy Explorer Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I love it!! X-1 Patrol Craft was my very first Classic Space set, and the first set I could put together without using the instructions. Is the front "laser cannon" piece the only original part carried over to your mini version? Quote
brickmack Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Very nice microfig scaled version. I'm surprised there aren't more MOCs made with these figs. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Very cool! But I've never seen that microfigure before. What set is he from? Quote
Legostein Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Is the front "laser cannon" piece the only original part carried over to your mini version? Yes, that's the part where I am not completely happy with the model. I didn't find a proper way to scale it down and still being able to attach that, so I just left the original piece there. Very nice microfig scaled version. I'm surprised there aren't more MOCs made with these figs. Oh, I am sure there will be more. It needs some people to spread the idea and then many more people will create more great things with microfigures. Very cool! But I've never seen that microfigure before. What set is he from? It's from set 3850 - Meteor Strike. Quote
legomr Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 There should be more microfigure classic space! It's probably difficult though, especially when transparent canopies are involved... hmm... Quote
