As discussed here,

I have no idea when I would be able to get around to it (especially with SCUBA season right around the corner), just wondering if anyone else has thought of this.

BTW, I do have the official LEGO Model, Set #4533:

I find it cute but somewhat lacking...

The Lego version didn't really appeal to me. I envisioned my town free of cold, snowy, weather because of southern beach style. That and it seemed a bit to unconventional,; driver exposed and such. After a bit of searching I found a previous topic on a rotary snow plow I saw a while back. Most of the photos and links have been moved or deleted but, luckily a real good example still exists! Here is 'Monteur's Damfschneeschleuder (steam snowplow) on Brickshelf. It's a really great design and nice to see again. Hope this gives you some inspiration! default_classic.gif

Now that's what I'm looking for! AWESOME...

While I won't make mine Steam Powered I'll surely use his impeller design.

Since my reading on these units says they all seem to have their own power-plant but only use is to power the impeller I think I might borrow an idea from the LEGO Official set and drive the impeller using wheels in contact with the track (so no on board electrics) and have a Loco push the unit along the tracks.
