Finntech Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Hi, As many of you are probably aware, 8880 white parts are easily getting yellow by UV-light. Mine too, since the set has been in a direct daylight for several years. I find decent solution for turnging yellowed parts from this set to original white (well, at least close) by using chlorine. I bought this chlorine: Then I empty it in the large container, end throw all the white parts there, including very badly yellowed white rims. I left them there for ~ 20 hr, after that flush under water and indeed, they are now whiter than before. They are not completely white but it might be possible to white the parts perfectly by leave them in the chlorine for longer time. I'm satisfied for this result and going to put the car together now, but perhaps somebody else could try it. It doesn't damage parts in any way. Quote

Finntech Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Nice, there is really big difference in before and after pics. Don't know are they selling that stuff in Finland though. Edited January 2, 2012 by Finntech Quote
