Davor Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 perfect!! shape...wings...folding.........just perfect! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 This is an awesome MOC! Are those sails from the Queen Anne's Revenge? If so, I love how you have used all official parts and still done an amazing job on this complex starfighter. Quote
DFOL Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Oh wow, thats a nice one Rook! The only nitpick that i can find is the lack of roundness in the sails, they should form a semi circle when deployed. But the fact that they fold is a great feature and the design of the fighter is just stunning! Quote
Mr Man Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 This is an absolutely fantastic MOC Rook , the folding sails and the size and shape is spot on. TLG copy this please . Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 This is an awesome MOC! Are those sails from the Queen Anne's Revenge? I have those sails, they came from a CREATOR set, I think. This is awesome. I might have to try and recreate it for the duel between Ventress, Obi-Wan, and Anakin from 'Nightsisters'. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I have those sails, they came from a CREATOR set, I think. They may be the ones from Fiery Legend, but due to the streaks visible I'm more inclined to think they are the ones from the QAR. Maybe Rook will tell us. Quote

Maybe Rook will tell us. That's the set they came in, I couldn't remember the name. But I think that it can be built with the Fiery Legend wings, I'll have to try. Quote
Rook Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) This is an awesome MOC! Are those sails from the Queen Anne's Revenge? If so, I love how you have used all official parts and still done an amazing job on this complex starfighter. Yep sure are from the Queen Anne's Revenge. Thank you TLG. Oh wow, thats a nice one Rook! The only nitpick that i can find is the lack of roundness in the sails, they should form a semi circle when deployed. But the fact that they fold is a great feature and the design of the fighter is just stunning! Well TLG can't be prefect. If they were, it would because I worked there. This is an absolutely fantastic MOC Rook , the folding sails and the size and shape is spot on. TLG copy this please . TLG could add a little “Designed by Rook” to the box art or “Rook” sticker to the ship and I’d be happy. Edited December 16, 2011 by Rook Quote
Tuskano Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Very nice, aye the wings are very well done. I like how the colors fit nicely together as well. And congrats for being blogged lol :D Quote
Darth Yogi Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 This looks awesome. I love the folding wings, and the whole thing is nice and smooth. I'm not to familiar with the actual thing, but it looks amazing anyway. Great job Quote
Brickmamba Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 don't have much recollection of this ship, but very nice looking moc nevertheless, well done Quote
Praiter Yed Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I can't recall seeing this in the 'Neo' Clone Wars (but from Darth Nihilus' comments it must have appeared) but I do remember it from the original Clone Wars cartoon which imho was far superior. As DFOL mentioned, it would be more accurate with semi-circular sails but that would only be possible if you were willing to make custom items. It's still commendable that you built this with genuine Lego parts and the fact that it folds up is brilliant. It's surprising that when they produce such obscure craft as the 'Sith Nightspeeder', Lego haven't released one of these, and they couldn't go far wrong by basing it on your design. Nice one Quote
Mr Man Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I can't recall seeing this in the 'Neo' Clone Wars (but from Darth Nihilus' comments it must have appeared). It's in the first episode of the Nightsisters trilogy. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 This is a fantastic MOC, and more closer to what a real Lego set of this would be. I love the sails that fold out! Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I was going to comment on the lack of roundness on the sails - then I read those are in fact official Lego parts! Great job! Quote
wokajablocka Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Rook you've out done your self on the folding fanblade function. The ship looks awsome, great idea and execution. Quote
