Korean Lady Wearing Traditional Hanbok(한복)

Recommended Posts

Hello!

This is my first custom ever, so don't expect too much custom experts!

First you may ask yourself what a Hanbok is.

Basically it is the traditional clothing Koreans wear at special occasions.

This vibrant coloured clothing has been worn for many centuries by Koreans and there are lots of unique styles.

I have used this one for reference: My link

Anyways, here it is!

The decals are all hand drawn by me and it's just paper really...not that professional

The vignette is also not that special, I was trying to go for some Korean architecture, which I think I did..

The Front:

The side:

Painting figures is harder then it looks

The back:

The back decal isn't as well done as the front one, and the second face, from the Pirate ship, is showing.

Hope you liked it!

More pictures on my flickr account (link on my sig)

And here is the wikipedia link about Hanbok for anyone who is curious:My link

Please comment so I can improve! :sweet:

Thank you!

Good to have some new entries!

Please make sure your pictures are in line with the contest rules: front, back and side shots of the minifigure alone must be included in your post

Updated! :sweet:

If you could add a minifig-only front picture, that would be perfect :classic:

I'm surprised how well hand drawn decals on paper work. Gives it a nice crafty feel

Thank you!

Personally I think the black lines should be thinner but that was my finest one..

nice hanbok! I think I might make 1 such fig down the road, with the exotic fancyful hair as well (I get to watch some korea drama serials on the TV, along with their pop bands.) Nice tatami mat as well!
