ryanfitton Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) I have created an Ice Cream van heavily based on the example shown in the new DK Lego Ideas Book: http://www.dorlingkindersley-uk.co.uk/nf/Book/BookDisplay/0,,9781405350679,00.html I have changed the lights, back and roof of the truck. Some pics are below: I will be buying this design in a bit, might change some of the parts to different colours though, LDD just didn't have the right colours that I wanted to use. Let me know what you think :) Here is the LDD file: My link Edited September 4, 2011 by ryanfitton Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Very nice LDD creation 'ryanfitton', though if you brick build it....an ice cream/soft serve machine would be handy ! Still it's a great vehicle design.....so LDD On 'ryanfitton' ! Quote

Thanks :) That's somthing to think about too, I will try and add an ice cream machine somewhere in the van, don't know how I managed to forget putting one in since it is an Ice Cream Van :P Quote
lorax Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 That is a really cute ice-cream truck, you have done a good job. I have tried an ice-cream truck but it was less successful my attempt I have pre ordered the lego ideas book, it looks like it will be a great addition to my Lego library. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Very nice realization! I like the nose and the ice cream on the roof. Nice project! Quote
ryanfitton Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 Thanks for the comments, I'm quite happy how it has turned out :) Just wondering should I keep both of the windows of the side or just have one? :/ Also like mentioned above, I still need to make an Ice Cream Machine, I'll do that once I get home from work. I will be brick building it soon, think it's going to cost around £28 from Bricklink :) Quote
gcanik Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Love the design and color choices. I would scrap the slope computer piece and install like a previous poster mentioned an ice cream machine and a flip up cooler using some small panel pieces and modified plate hinge pieces. Such a summer time creation Quote
HighFlyer Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Very good creation, I would love to see the brick build version. Nice colour scheme. Good joob. Quote

Such a summer time creation The reason why I out the slope computer piece was to see what it would like, when I brick build it I will be using a slope piece but with a cash machine piece. Might just take it out and just put the ice cream machine there instead. Quote
