I've been working on this for a while now and finally got a result when I started using my newly arrived XL motors. what I've built is an immobile turret that can rotates at two points and raises too about ninety degrees using a pair of pistons:

here are the pictures:

and heres a video of it in action (excuse my dodgy aiming)

the zamor launcher was quite a pain to motorize after trying and failing multiple times with with medium motors I eventually switched to xl motors when they arrived in the post. after hunting on the web I eventually discovered an idea which used a pair of small shock absorbers in the firing arm. I tried the idea myself but found it didn't work since the shock absorbers simply coudn't push the balls with enough force after having a quick look I decided a six hole technic beam would be the right length and put a pair into the rotating handle launcher I'd made which worked brillantly! a couple of things I discovered though was that the xl motor would only provide enough firing strength if it was either directly linked to the handle bar setup or was geared up from medium to XL gear anything else and it wouldn't work.

the rest is mostly for show I need to change a few things actually since it doesn't always work properly like for example when I found the weight of the contraption pushed against the gears running the turntables moving those gears out resulted in the thing occassionally trying to pull itself apart!

so still needs work...
