Stockholm Metro!

Recommended Posts

(I forgot to write "MOC:" in the titel, maybe a moderator can fix that?)

I have built creations before, often inspired by science fiction-dramas or adventure films (e.g. Indiana Jones). This is the first time I create something in the theme of town, and this is actually the first train in lego I own

This is the Metro of Stockholm (Sweden).

At the end of the thread you are able to see reference pictures ('cause I guess that not everyone in here has been in Stockholm  )

This is very well done and looks like the real thing. I like the use of all those fleshies too.

Great! Nice train and nice station!

I like the sloped wall at the bottom, this really adds to the good look of the overall shape – one of the advantages of building it 8-wide, and still have a usable interior (which makes me think about turning to 8-wide trains too some day... before I'll have the space to build a proper layout anyway). But the doors don't open, do they? :)

Very nice, looks really authentic . I love how you did the joint between the two wagons. And that modern-looking metro station is great :sweet:. But maybe this belongs in the Train Tech subforum? :look:

Very nice creation. I really like the train and the use of fleshy minifigs. The method you used for the connecting the cars is nice. Does it actually allow the train to turn the corners? I also wonder if you were to use the 1 x 2 gray bricks with the grill pattern in place of the 1 x 2 tiles with grill pattern would look closer to real train?

A very nice, clean design, just how I like it. The station is great, as is the collection of people in it - and the train is really well-made, too, and so much like the original.

Schysst! :)

Thank you all for your comments! :classic:

You are right, unfortunately the doors are not able to open. However, I have build a new version of the metro where it is possible to open the doors. I will post a thread about that train soon

Yes, you are problably right. Maybe a moderator could make that happen? :classic:

Well, the train isn't really very flexible - maybe it would be possible for the train to enter flexible tracks - but not a corner of regular curves.

I also wonder if you were to use the 1 x 2 gray bricks with the grill pattern in place of the 1 x 2 tiles with grill pattern would look closer to real train?

Interesting. As it is now, I use 1x2 tile with grill in metallic silver - which is a more realistic colour than light bluish gray if you look at the reference pictures (Bricks 1x2 with grill doesn't exist in metallic silver). Another problem, if I used the brick, would be that it would be a small space between the top of the brick and the upper part of the train because of the angle. However I can agree with you that there are morte grills on the brick, which would make it look more realistic...

Wonderful train and even more AWESOME train station, the lattice fence, sliding door (mind if I use the idea ?), and platform roof are very clever indeed !

Using fleshies is different but works, keep up your great work and K.O.B. 'Skrytsson' !

I like the train, but mostly this creation just makes me really appreciate the amount of details you put into making this realistic and simply enjoyable. The platform is my favorite part, it just makes the whole thing complete.

Greetings! :classic:

Wonderful setup! I like all of the deails that you have on the station....right down to the trash cans. The tram looks great too, although I doubt Harry Potter is in need of a job.

The Subway is just beautifully made, the fence and roof are just excellent. This would be just super cool in a layout, especially underneath the table, maybe have the lights in it, lights at the train station. That is a true subway. Keep up the great work!!!

Great job! Well I say that toooooo much, hw about Magnificent! Now thats new. This station is really great and so is the nice fence on the side. May I see the interior of the building or is it just the ticket machines? The train it self is really nice. I hope I can see more from you soon! :sweet:

Excellent train and train station Skrytsson! You've got some pretty interesting details in this build, like the V-shaped waiting shed and the sleek and smooth design of this modern-looking train. Really great job!

But maybe this belongs in the Train Tech subforum? :look:

Yep, I'm sure our Town Reg/Train Mod will move this over the Train Tech subforum where it rightfully belongs.

Impressive! The metro itself is very well buit and looks like the original. The station is amazing too! The detail I prefer is the trash design. And finally, the crowded station makes it very credible
