OK, so this is the first time I’m trying this, so there might be a few things that could use some refinement.

I have created a little village for my castle setup, a castle for the Black knights and a few other things.

A little overview of the village

The windmill, build by my brother, who has also taken all the pictures. It is loosely based on a design from one of the old idea books, but we improved it a little.

I’ll save the town wall and the Black Knight castle for later.

Sorry about some of the pictures being a little blurry, but I hope you can make out the most important things.

Yes, I'll get back to that with some pictures after a few more comments. It's actually my brother who build the wall around the town.

I can't believe how many Classic Grey & Red knights you have. I have 6 from 677-Knights Procession. They were only in 4 different sets so you must have been doing some collecting

Thanks for the replies so far.

About those classic red and gray knights, I have not purposefully army build them. Call it dumb luck, but I got them in a really large lot, two big boxes in fact, at a flea market along with many other sets from the 70’s and 80’s.

Anyway, let’s continue with the town wall that my brother has built.

The gate building

Backside completely locked down

The wall with towers

The other wall, as you can see it is built to be compatible with the Armor Shop (6041)

And now for the Black Knights castle.

With figures

Inside the gate

The “left” side, the string is for the gate mechanism, it’s inspired by King’s Castle (6080)

Backside

It even opens like some of the old-school castles do

img0332l.jpg

The interior of the “right” side of the castle. It’s a little place for the soldiers to get a drink and play cards, and a place for the horses to get something to eat.

The outside of the “right” side of the castle. Can anyone spot what’s wrong here?

Excellent town, Runamuck! I really like how all the buildings are in the same style as the classic castle sets. My favourite buildings are the tavern and the church. Well done, and I can't wait to see more of your work.

Very neat stuff. Castle is one of my favorite themes and you certainly have a good start on you castle and village. My favorite scene is the two nobles being carried via human powered litter. It reminds me of the scene in "Jabberwocky" where the nobles race along the city street whipping their litter bearers and racing each other...

Great brickwork!

Those Carrying thrones, or whatever they may be called, are actually based on an old alternative model from Knight's Joust 383.

Nobody who has any guesses on what may be odd about the right side of the castle?

Love the buildings and the castle is a nice design, good to see some old castles getting some attention. :classic:

Oh, and about that side of the wall, err I have no idea. :hmpf_bad:

There are no stairs leading up to the chest in the attic? I guess you rub the lamp and a genie will take you up there!

Maybe I should have been a little more specific, although it is true that there aren't any stairs up to the chest.

I ment on the outside of the castle:

Ah ha! Is it a dark grey brick in the bottom right hand corner when the rest are light grey? :classic:

No, that's just the lighting.

Maybe no one can spot it because the parts are rather rare...

We have a winner!

Yes, the middle piece is a misprint.
